Summary
Performs engineering tasks for Department of Public Works/Engineering department. Reviews and approves
building and issues engineering permits. Oversees and enforces Town specifications. Reviews credentials and
licenses of new contractors. Updates websites, including posting construction progress, road closures and
schedules, Town policy, and infrastructure issues. Ensures compliance with Massachusetts DEP. Monitors and
tracks private projects. Performs all other related work, as required.
Essential Functions
The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that

* Reviews and approves building permits. Reviews, approves, and issues Engineering permits. Oversees and
enforces Town specifications. Maintains Engineering permit portal, including changing, editing, and adding
applications. Reviews credentials and provides licenses to new contractors.
* Updates websites, including posting construction progress, road closures, schedules, Town policy, and
infrastructure issues.
* Ensures compliance with Massachusetts DEP permitting.
* Monitors and tracks private projects. Communicates project updates to customers, via email, website and
social media. Sets up and attends project meetings.
* Provides and coordinates communication to residents and businesses on major capital projects.
* Attends meetings on projects. Administers and provides support materials for projects.
* Communicates with department staff.
* Meets with builders to review requests and concerns.
* Responds to questions and requests for information, including Public Records Requests.
* Researches records and plans for residents, external engineers, and surveyors.
* Conducts research on Middlesex Registry of Deeds, examining the history of property.
* Manages Engineering records.
* Communicates with the Secretary of the Commonwealth on records retention regulations.
* Manages and deposits revenue from permits. Reconciles and submits cash turnover report.
* Participates in personnel decisions, including interviewing job applicants.
* Continues education and career development by participation in association events.
* Reads and interprets Town Bylaws. Writes proposal to change bylaws. Writes and reviews Town policy for
accreditation.
* Provides training on VPC Opengov. software, records retention, and the department's organizational plans.
* Performs other similar or related duties, as required or as situation dictates.
Supervision
Supervision Scope: Performs varied and responsible functions requiring a technical working knowledge of
departmental operations and the exercise of judgment and initiative, particularly in situations not clearly defined
by precedent or established procedures.
Supervision Received: Works under the broad supervision of the Town Engineer, following department rules,
regulations and policies; duties require the ability to plan and perform operations and independently complete
assigned tasks, according to prescribed time schedules.

Recommended Minimum Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience
Associates degree or equivalent, plus 5+ years of experience in a municipality or Civil Engineering firm or an
equivalent combination of education, training and experience are required. Computer literacy is required. FE or
PE is preferred. Ability to operate CAD is preferred. Public speaking experience is highly desirable. Bachelor of
Science in Civil Engineering is preferred.
Special Requirements:
Valid Massachusetts Driver's license is required.
Knowledge: Familiarity with Civil Engineering practices. Knowledge and ability to read and generate design
plans. Knowledge of administrative office practices and procedures. Knowledge of project management.
Knowledge of financial record keeping. Familiarity with town government. Knowledge or ability to learn new
technology quickly. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations required for department
operations. Knowledge of mathematical functions to handle money and assign counts to deposits. Knowledge to

Job Environment
* Work is performed in office environment. Work is performed occasionally in outdoor weather
conditions, in very loud to moderate noise levels, working in high, precarious places, with fumes or
airborne particles present, and working near moving mechanical parts. Work is subject to fluctuations,
and administrative deadlines. Work is conducted in an environment of competing priorities.

Job Description:
L3Harris' Space and Airborne Systems seeks a Space Vehicle Engineer to join our growing team in the Surveillance Systems Division supporting Radio Frequency (RF) missions. The person in this position will serve as a dedicated program Space Vehicle Engineer at L3Harris, responsible for the execution of the Space Vehicle within cost, schedule and technical constraints. This includes all phases of the program execution lifecycle: Design, Development, Integration and Test, and Mission Operations. The Space Vehicle Engineer will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of electrical, mechanical and software engineers and analysts through the integration of the space craft bus, RF mission payload, and communications and network payloads. The role will include interfacing with both Program Management and Customers, providing status on the integration activities of the Space Vehicle as well as interfacing with both Mission and Ground Systems Engineering teams to ensure the Space Vehicle meets requirements and User needs.
Essential Functions:
* Lead program Space Vehicle (SV) engineering scope, including integration activities for all phases of the program life cycle
* Drive trade studies to closure - ensuring cost, technical and schedule reflects program priorities
* Review SV engineering work products for consistency and accuracy
* Work with Mission and Ground Systems Engineering teams to flow down requirements to applicable subsystems, develop Space Vehicle level ConOps, and implement Space to Ground and Bus to Payload Interface Control Documents.
* Lead Space Vehicle portions of major technical reviews and failure investigations
* Chair engineering review boards to ensure all changes to the technical baseline are coordinated internally and externally
* Coordinate with Space Vehicle engineering peers to ensure implementation of lessons learned and best practices
* Ability to achieve DoD S/TS security clearances
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
* Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams in executing space vehicle programs
* Experience with major program design reviews across the program life cycle (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PSR, etc.)
* Experience with system-level requirements verification including allocation, flow down, analysis, testing, & demonstration
* Experience leading systems engineering teams in executing/backlog programs
* Experience managing/leveraging technical, cost and schedule requirements
* Experience with Hardware/Software integration, testing, and troubleshooting
* Experience working with external suppliers and subcontractors
* Experience in mentoring and growing technical staff
Preferred Additional Skills:
* Active TS/SCI security clearance
* Familiarity with active and/or passive Radio Frequency (RF) mission payloads

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs all activities of the Department of Nuclear Medicine in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Hospital. Provides excellent customer support by demonstrating the Northwest values of Innovation, Compassion, Accountability and Teamwork. Peforms Nuclear Medicine (NM) procedures using prescribed technique; maintains proficiency on all related equipment. Communicates with various people within the Department and patients, as well as other customers throughout the organization. Performs a variety of support duties to assure smooth operations of the department. Performs all job duties with a focus on safety for the patient, self and co-workers. Follows universal protocol for patient identification and infectious diseases.
- Demonstrates the appropriate level of knowledge in all areas of Nuclear Medicine to include injection of radiopharmaceuticals and other pharmacologic agents related to a procedure.
- Uses knowledge of patient positioning and other pharmacolic agents related to a procedure.
- Evaluates examination to assure technical quality.
- Performs daily check of NM equipment to assure preparedness.
- Utilizes HIS/RIS to assure proper ordering and completion of NM procedures.
- Explains and answers questions concerning NM procedures.
- Recognizes priorities and deals with them appropriately.
- Process images according to established protocols.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field
- Graduate of a school of Nuclear Medicine
- Less than one year of experience
- Licensed by the State of MD
- Certified by CNMT or ARRT(N) or registry eligible

Employees within this class are distinguished from the Engineering Technician I By the performance of the full range of duties as assigned including the moderately complex duties of drafting, office and field engineering work. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise, and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. This class is flexibly staffed and is normally filled by advancement from the I level, or when filled from the outside, requires previous work experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Incumbent must have the ability to:
- Review and process tract maps, parcel maps, of line adjustments, grants of easement, and street right-of-ways for recordation.
- Verify fulfillment of conditions of approval for new subdivisions; perform on-site inspections to verify survey monuments related to parcel maps and lot line adjustments.
- Prepare and draft technical engineering plans for construction of streets, alleys, storm drains, water lines, and other public improvements.
- Provide public assistance at counter and over the telephone.
- Prepare quantity and cost estimates for engineering projects.
- Maintain a variety of maps and records including tract maps, parcel maps, lot line adjustments, easements, street and address changes.
- Review engineering plans to determine appropriate layout of construction projects.
- Perform on-site inspections to obtain information; determine angles and set grade stakes, hubs, turning points and benchmarks using appropriate surveying techniques; locate and measure boundary lines, right-of-ways, and land grades.
- Make and check mathematical calculations related to surveying, drafting and basic engineering.
- Maintain accurate survey records in the form of field notes and sketches.
- Participate in a variety of engineering design and planning work related to municipal engineering projects.
- Answer questions and provide information to the public concerning engineering activities.
- Assist in development and maintenance of the record keeping and filing systems.
- Prepare, assemble and distribute copies of maps, charts and blueprints.
- Answer questions and provide information to the public concerning engineering activities.
- Perform any other tasks or functions deemed necessary to the daily operations of the employer.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, and stooping in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine coordination in preparing reports using a computer keyboard. Additionally, the position requires near and far vision when preparing and reading written reports and other work related documents. Acute hearing is also required when providing phone and counter assistance.

Engineering Technician II: In addition the qualifications of Engineering Technician I, knowledge of:
- Terminology, methods, practices and techniques of drafting.
- Trigonometry as applied to the computation of angles, areas, distances and traverses.
- Elementary surveying techniques and practices.
- Engineering maps and records.
- Perform moderately complex engineering and mathematic calculations with speed and accuracy.
- Understand and follow written instructions and sketches.
- Use and care for drafting, surveying, and mechanical instruments and tools.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision.
Engineering Technician II - Two years of increasingly responsible experience performing drafting and technical engineering work.
Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in drafting, surveying or a related field.
