Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based pediatric critical care as a Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner in the PICU
- Perform comprehensive assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
- Initiate and manage advanced life support, ventilator support, invasive monitoring, and other PICU-level interventions per scope
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—attending physicians, bedside nurses, respiratory therapists, and specialists—to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document all patient care accurately and timely in Epic to support continuity of care and compliance
- Provide family-centered education and support during critical care episodes
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical protocol initiatives
