Project Overview:

The Walsh-VINCI Transit Community Partners (WVTCP) Joint Venture consisting of VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Walsh Construction has been selected to construct the $2.9BN Design Build Red Line Extension (RLE) project – the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). The RLE Mainline Design-Build (MDB) Project will extend the CTA's Red Line by 5.6 miles, extending from the existing terminal at 95th/Dan Ryan south to 130th Street and Doty Avenue.

As the Materials Coordination Lead on the $2.9BN Red Line Extension Project (RLE) in Chicago-Illinois, you will be responsible to schedule, review, track, and coordinate the material documentation, including test reports, to demonstrate project conformance with the Contractor’s Quality Management System and Contract requirements relating to permanent materials and materials put into place for temporary use by the CTA.


Responsibilities:

  • Apply the project rules and be proactive in terms of Health and Safety when visiting site or at the office.
  • Support the implementation of the Quality Assurance & Quality Control Processes on the project, particularly all processes related to the assurance of materials.
  • Develop, manage, maintain, and supervise material tracking logs.
  • Coordinate with the construction area managers and the project engineers to ensure materials documentation is received, logged, and uploaded to CTA’s Project Website per contract requirements, including product datasheets, certifications, and other required material submittals outlined in the technical specifications.
  • Manage the Buy America Build America process.
  • Review and technically interpret material test results.
  • Coordinate with internal and external project teams for resolution of material related quality issues.
  • Participate in pre-activity meetings and regular progress meetings to develop understanding of current and upcoming work.
  • Maintain QC document records and perform self-audits of hard copy and electronic records.
  • Build a good and collaborative relationship with all stakeholders, including the CTA Owner Representative Quality personnel.
  • Promote WVTCP’s Right First-Time culture by developing, sharing, and presenting Lessons Learned, Toolbox Talks, Quality Bulletins.
  • Ensure the MIR/MT forms and supporting documents are compiled by the operations staff and report on any delinquent documents.
  • Review MIR/MT forms for completeness, log and upload to CTA eBuilder site.
  • Assist with follow-up and close out of material related deficiencies.
  • Participate in site walks focusing on material delivery, storage, and use.
  • Participate with project closeout and punch list inspections and project meetings, as needed and as they relate to materials


Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry.
  • Valid Driving License to drive in the state of Illinois.

  • Ability to collect and review technical content of materials certificates and associated datasheets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:




  • Removes excess metal and surface defects from aerospace hardware or machined surfaces using pneumatic or hand held abrasive wheels or belted grinding equipment.
  • Uses abrasive belt or wheel according to customer specifications or type of finish specified, product being polished, or amount of metal to be removed, using knowledge of polishing operations and abrasives. Monitors abrasive wheel or belt for wear.
  • Operates polisher, grinder, or deburring tools and removes metal and surface defects or contours edges of components based on specifications of blue-prints or work instructions.
  • Inspects work for acceptability of finish. Moves finished components to next work station for further processing.
  • Performs other work as assigned by the supervisor.


Position Requirements
  • Ability to lift or transfer components or objects of no more than 50 pounds.
  • Understand and follow written and oral instructions in English and possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assist in tooling and process development.
  • Considerable ability to use a variety of hand and pneumatic tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Engineering review of in-process inspection results, supplying data summary to perspective parties and initiating next steps for resolution.
  • Lead Production Readiness Review (PRR) meetings by managing document control of customer files prior to manufacturing release.
  • Support traveler/router development in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to assist Production & Quality readiness.
  • Develop, evaluate, and review manufacturing plans and set-up sheets in support of the manufacturing process.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for fixturing and process requirements.
  • Utilize SolidWorks to design work-holding, fixtures, and/or tooling to support Production, Engineering, & Quality functions.
  • Produce in-process 2D drawings to support critical manufacturing operations and inspection cadences.
  • Support Engineering Change Request (ECR) process by helping to manage new customer drawings and models to ensure revision compliance, updating the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system accordingly.
  • Define and maintain manufacturing processes by studying customer blueprints and testing manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment.
  • Assist in developing new and editing existing policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance to ISO9001, AS9100, & ITAR regulations
  • Support non-conformance reporting (NCR) by leading root cause analysis meetings utilizing RCCA tools to identify root causes, and support Quality in outlining corrective actions to drive continuous improvement, supporting and completing corrective action items where appropriate.
  • Work cross functionally with Quality, Operations, and Production to detect, evaluate, and eliminate scrap, reducing the cost of manufacturing for the company.
  • Research, identify, and implement cost reduction and optimization opportunities within manufacturing facility through lean manufacturing principles.
  • Act as liaison with customers, vendors, and staff to answer inquiries, concerns, or complaints about outgoing product.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and instruction to manufacturing personnel on new machining procedures and processes.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  8. Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company 5S Program, and complies with all safety regulations. Use personal protective equipment as required.
Additional Functions:
  1. Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags .
  2. Ensure accurate daily job charging to the aircraft .
  3. Exchange job related information and coordinate work activities between shifts through turn over report meetings and direct contact with leadership .
  4. Assist in maintaining shop equipment and associated JSAs .
  5. Support Lean Activities .

The Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with established facility nursing care procedures as directed by clinical supervisors.   • Nursing Care Functions:


    • Assists residents with personal cares, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bed mobility, toileting and eating. Documents ADL’S appropriately.
    • Follows all shift routines, policy and procedures regarding accurate performance of vital signs, weights, etc. Understands/supports Resident Bill of Rights.
    • Serves meals and assists residents with eating. Records accurate food and fluid intake as assigned. Reports any chewing or swallowing difficulty to the nurse.
    • Assists the resident with the restorative nursing program including but not limited to, passive and active range of motion, ambulation with appropriate assistive devices and use of transfer belt.
    • Uses safety standards at all times in transfer gait of residents: (a) Uses 2 trained staff members for all mechanical lifts, gait belt and/or proper mechanical equipment for all transfers/ambulation of residents. (b) Uses proper body mechanics. (c) Ambulates/ transfers residents per plan of care. (d) Positions residents to maintain body alignment per policy and procedure and plan of care.
    • Reports promptly to the nurse any changes in the resident condition.
    • Answers call lights promptly and determine residents’ needs.
    • Neatly makes and changes bed linens.
    • Ensures that residents are clean, neatly dressed according to preference or age, and well-groomed.
    • Reports any indication of resident illness to the nurse. Completes Stop ’N’ Watch forms on Point of Click or uses paper form.
    • Provides any information on changes in skin conditions to the nurse.
    • Follows standard precautions and works within OSHA guidelines. Follows infection prevention and infection control policy/procedure: (a) Follows resident skin care protocol. (b) Properly cleans and stores resident equipment. (c) Maintains sanitary conditions in common areas (e.g., tub rooms, dining areas, and hallways). (d) Follows basic principles of linen handling. (e) Follows principles of universal precautions. (f) Follows isolation precautions. (g) Reports any concern related to infection control to nurse.
    • Observe and report any noted changes in mental status to the nurse.
    • Report to charge nurse all incidents/accidents that occur involving employee, residents, and visitors.
    • Treats and ensures that residents are treated with respect and dignity. Shows respect for resident’s right to confidentiality, dignity and privacy.
    • Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect per facility policy.
    • Remains aware and takes special precautions to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
    • Reports any equipment malfunction to designated employee.
    • Completes miscellaneous tasks related to care of residents (e.g., transporting patients).
    • Reports to nurse prior to shift and at end of shift.


  • Documentation:


    • Accurately documents vital signs, weights, intake and output as delegated per facility protocol.
    • Utilizes electronic systems of documentation as required per facility policy.


  • Personnel Functions:


    • Attends designated nursing meetings as scheduled.
    • Develops and maintains a good working relationship with inter-departmental personnel.
    • Attends educational offerings and obtains at least twelve (12) hours of continuing education a year per state regulations.
    • Follows federal and state rules and regulations governing nursing facilities.
    • Reports emergency situations immediately to nurse.
    • Responds immediately to an emergency. This includes assisting with the evacuation of residents.
    • Establishes and maintains respectful communication with all employees, residents and families.
    • Attends required in-services and completes assigned on-line modules.
    • Uses proper chain of command to communicate concerns.
    • Complete all assigned in-services and on-line modules.


  • Committee Functions:


    • Serves on, participates in and attends various committees and meetings of the facility to enhance interdisciplinary process.
    • Participates/supports activities of facility committees.


  • Other duties as assigned or directed by nurse.

The Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with established facility nursing care procedures as directed by clinical supervisors. The Nursing Assistant reports any observed changes in resident condition as they occur. About the Role: Riverbend Equipment is a family-owned and operated vendor for industry leaders like Link-Belt Excavators, Yanmar CE, and Bell Trucks. Due to growth, we are looking for two self-motivated Mechanics to join our team: one dedicated Shop Mechanic and one Field Mechanic .
Whether you thrive in a collaborative shop environment or prefer the independence of field service, we have a place for you.
What We're Looking For:

* Experience: 2-4 years of heavy equipment experience for Shop roles; 4+ years preferred for Field roles.
* Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in hydraulic systems and electrical diagnostics is required.
* Equipment: Experience with Link-Belt, Yanmar, or Bell Trucks is a plus, but we are happy to provide manufacturer-specific training for the right candidates.
* Requirements: Must have a clean driving record (for insurance purposes) and provide your own tools and toolbox for the shop position; a service truck will be supplied for the field position but the technician must supply their own tools for the truck.
* Pay for the shop Mechanic is $26.00-$32.00/hr. The Pay for the Field Position is $32.00+/hr, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment and landscape machinery.
* Utilize diagnostic tools and manuals to ensure accurate, high-quality repairs.
* (Field Role) Represent Riverbend on-site, providing excellent customer service and performing repairs in various weather conditions.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

* Valid and Clean Driver's License (Required).
* Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician or similar role.
