Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Senior Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH) Engineer (Level 5) to join our team in Everett, Washington.
Position Overview:
The selected individuals will work within Boeing organizations and interface with suppliers to oversee development of Application Specific Integrated Circuits, Field Programmable Gate Arrays and Programmable Logic Device changes, ensure application of best industry and Boeing requirements and assure compliance with regulatory requirements. Engineers applying for this position must understand RTCA/DO-254 and the relationship between complex electronics. Highly desired are engineers with recent experience showing or finding compliance for airborne electronic hardware.
Position Responsibilities:
Oversee and guide teams with airborne electronic hardware devices in development of airplane systems.
Provide either showing of compliance or assisting in finding of compliance roles in accordance with FAA regulations associated with Airborne Electronic Hardware development.
Provide direction to suppliers to improve their performance to contractual requirements (quality, delivery, cost, technical, safety, communication, etc.).
Support audits and design reviews.
Evaluate risks and opportunities; assist suppliers in implementing risk mitigation plans.
Work with internal and external resources, utilizing tools, processes and methods to enhance supplier performance to meet customer and program requirements.
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers in support of airplane systems objectives.
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
~ Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
~7+ years of experience in developing complex electronic and electrical systems such as electronic device development, verification or compliance finding activities.
~5+ years of experience in engineering, associated with certified airborne electronic hardware.
Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
Bachelor's and 10+ years of experience or Master's and 7+ years of experience

This position is responsible for a large variety of unique duties within the maintenance department. Major components of this position are support to the maintenance department, contractor coordination, project management support and buildings, vehicles and grounds upkeep. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor but frequently receives daily assignments from the Maintenance Manager.
Essential Functions
- Perform maintenance related duties to maintain facilities and grounds in a premier manner.
- Keep assigned work orders current to seven days.
- Assist maintenance technicians and other departments as requested for special projects.
- Pickup, deliver, load and unload freight and move equipment between storage building and plant as required.
- Maintain oil and lubricants for the maintenance team.
- Provide contractor coordination and oversight, ensures quality of work meets or exceeds company standards. Verify contract employees adhere to company safety and quality policies.
- Deliver of salt and chemical for water treatment of plant water circuit systems.
- Assist with the maintenance of cooling towers and condensers.
- Perform maintenance on department and office vehicles and other large equipment.
- Operate large equipment for construction related duties and snow removal.
- Maintain training requirements to serve on the emergency response team.
- Comply with all company safety rules and follow PPE requirements to achieve no injuries and no lost time accidents.
- Maintain standard records pertaining to daily work requirements in a manner that makes them a reliable data source for safety, quality and regulatory requirements and audits.

Job Description
- Report directly to Service Manager for deployment from store to in the field equipment repairs on customer or company properties.
- Maintain, repair and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, construction equipment, hay equipment, etc.
- Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions.
- Ability to utilize electronic service tools to allow for proper troubleshooting
- Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment and hand tools
- Understanding of hydraulic systems for proper troubleshooting.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, lathes, welding equipment, grinders or saws.
- Ensure proper documentation on all repairs- most importantly, on warranty jobs per manufacturer requirements.
- Tune or overhaul engines.
- Ensure premier quality repairs to minimize come backs focused on “fix right the first time.”
- Completing required training and attending OEM continuing education.

The Test Equipment Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. Typical work involves designing interface assemblies, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all Raytheon products. These core activities may be performed for both lab engineering and factory production test systems. The candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development and will be responsible for helping to maintain the technical, cost and schedule aspects of their assigned projects. They will be expected to act, either as a part of their team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.

What You Will Do:
• Design, development, and integrate Raytheon test products within Test Equipment in multidiscipline engineering teams
• Develop both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis
• Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development, and responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of assigned projects
• Act, either as a part of the team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with electrical engineering to include troubleshooting, analysis, and test
• Experience with commonly used electrical engineering design and analysis tools including but not limited to: Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic
• Experience with commonly used test equipment including but not limited to: Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, Power Meters
• Experience using schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics
Qualifications We Prefer:
• Master of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
• Ability to provide technical leadership in a multidiscipline team environment
• Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design
• Experience designing, testing, and integrating digital, mixed signal, and electrical system interconnect
