Job Description
Robert Bosch Fuel Systems, LLC in Kentwood, MI-part of the global Bosch Power Solutions division-is a leader in diesel injection technology. As an Industrial Electrician at this precision metal machining and assembly plant, youβll perform both routine and emergency electrical repairs, troubleshoot and maintain high- and low-voltage systems, and support equipment installation. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnoses, adjusts, repairs, constructs, assembles, calibrates, installs and maintains all types of electrical and electronic high or low voltage circuitry systems and equipment.
- Services, tests, and replaces devices used in electronic circuits.

Position Responsibilities:
Operate, install electrical systems and perform functional testing of building and plant equipment (e.g., machines, motor controls, room re-models)
Determine if system should be shut down or work must be performed with power source on
Lock out, tag out, try out equipment and related systems
Perform primary and secondary testing on electrical breakers during routine maintenance; replace, update and retro fit breakers
Perform routine tests on high voltage switches and relays, using hi-potential test equipment (Hipot), replace switch or relay
Troubleshoot electric motors using appropriate test equipment
Monitor current, voltage, amperage, frequency and watts hours at sub-stations using online computing system
Check and service electrical systems, using infrared analysis sheets to locate hot spots in service panel
Service and maintain electrical systems on various types of overhead cranes
Operate, install electrical systems and perform functional test of building and plant equipment (e.g., machines, motor controls, room re-models)
Install and perform routine maintenance on all types of lighting fixtures (e.g., fluorescent, halide, standard); clean and check sockets, and replace ballast and bulbs
Run high voltage electrical cable from sub-station to unit station; cut and splice cable, test cable for resistance
Install, replace and repair fiber optic cable for computers and computing systems
Bend conduit and install junction boxes; pull wire of various gauge and color through conduit using a fish tape; install and connect switches and outlets
Check work after completion or after each operation; ensure job is per drawing and WAC, NEC codes; evaluate job for work to be performed (e.g., wire size, electrical load, conduit)
Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. tiger lift, spider lift, snorkel lift), to access work areas
Install wire, crimp, terminate, and solder using tools (e.g., crimpers, wire cutters, soldering gun) in plant electrical systems
Establish/verify voltage, amperage, frequency and watts using test equipment (e.g., circuit trackers, sonic circuit chasers, volt, amperage meters)
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.

Position Summary:Β
- Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products used on maintenance of way equipment for the railroad industry.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of fundamental and advanced Fluid power principles and ability to apply knowledge in the design of complex hydraulic/pneumatic circuits in an OEM environment.

SUMMARY: A program designed to train a skilled worker through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom instruction to become a Maintenance Technician at American Packaging Corporation. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for electrical and mechanical systems in the facility, which will include troubleshooting and routine maintenance activities. Throughout this program, they will learn to troubleshoot and repair equipment problems that affect productivity of the manufacturing group as well as plant facilities and subsystems. They will learn to be involved with the process improvements providing input in production problem solving.
Approval Process: Applicants will be interviewed and chosen based on their experience, knowledge, and overall work history. The chosen finalists will be required to take and pass an aptitude test.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

14-month initial contract
Onsite full time in Brooklyn Park, MN facility. Flexible schedule. The blood lab usually works 6:00 am to about 3:00 pm. Sometimes folks are required to work longer to get the work done, so the candidate needs to be accommodating.

This position requires execution of duties in an animal/human blood lab using chemical, biological, electronic, mechanical, electromechanical and/or optical systems to assess the performance/interaction of medical devices with blood and/or equivalent test media in support of the development of new products and sustain the performance of released products. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Performs a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions. Testing includes preparation of devices in perfusion circuits, circulating blood/test fluid through test circuits, and sampling blood/fluid at various time points. Makes and records observations; performs simple calculations; and collects and prepares data for evaluation. Conducts laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment; arranging and dismantling apparatus; and collecting, washing, and storing labware. Performs technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements. May analyze biological and chemical samples. Performs technical procedures in one or more of the following areas: Production, Research and Development, Quality Control/Assurance, and/or Compliance/Environmental.
TECHNICIAN SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on blood-contacting components, equipment or systems. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.
