- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using logical and systematic methodologies.
- Routine maintenance including but not limited to field fault analysis, calibration of instrumentation using proper test equipment, component replacement, alignment and calibration to specification.
- Troubleshoot and repair various equipment to include electronic, digital equipment and AC/DC motors & controls.
- Fault analysis of hard-wired relay logic, motor control circuits, motor power circuits (single & 3 phase) and common utility/lighting circuits.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Physically build deliverable sensor systems: assemble mechanical components, solder electronic components, apply coatings to printed circuit boards, install printed circuit boards into sensor housings, precisely cut and strip wiring, mount fasteners, fasten and/or seal electro-mechanical assemblies by applying various bonding and/or sealing agents
- Perform final machining, cutting, or bonding operations on components such as sensor housing, sense elements, fine wires, etc.
- Assemble wiring harnesses and terminate connectors
- Assemble circuit boards, connectors, ribbon cables, jumpers, and other electronic components into custom-built enclosures
- Test sensors and printed circuit boards using a combination of electrical test equipment and LabVIEW-based software scripts
- Participate actively in inventory management and quarterly inventory checks
- Conduct final assembly of sensor systems onto customer driveshafts, including application of sealant, ensuring integrity of the full assembly, and certifying system fitness for homologation
- Participate in failure analyses by dissecting and analyzing hardware returned from the field, conducting diagnostic and validation testing, and comparing with original results.

The Avionics Hardware team is a small group of highly motivated engineers who develop the core compute, actuation, sensing, and power electronics products at the heart of our automation system. As an Avionics Hardware Engineer, you will drive development of electrical components and sub-systems across our airborne and test platforms from the circuit-board level up through integrated systems and everything in between.
Responsibilities
In your role as Avionics Hardware Engineer, you will design, analyze, document, test, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies at the circuit board through integrated electro-mechanical level. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing and test engineers as the expert on your hardware. You will drive improvements to the hardware through benchtop, environmental, and on-aircraft testing, and perform root-cause investigations to characterize, document, and rectify anomalous behavior in a safety-critical environment.
Basic Success Criteria
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated ability to complete and ship projects and deliverables
Professional experience with ECAD tools such as Altium
Ability to work within a team, including strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to methodically diagnose, document, and solve electronic hardware problems
Preferred Criteria
Professional experience with the full electronics product life-cycle, from conceptual design through production
Direct hands-on experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design, analysis, test, and debug
Experience designing electronics to meet rigorous environmental standards (aerospace, military, automotive, or harsh industrial)
Proficiency with Python and/or MATLAB for analysis, data review, and test setup scripting

The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000 to $168,000/annual salary + cash and stock option awards + benefits. - Ability to multi-task, prioritize and handle deadlines
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems;
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD
- Ability to use Microsoft Product such as Word, excel, and adobe

Qualification/Requirement:
- Must show proof of your legal right to work in the United States
- This position requires US Citizenship due to security clearance required for base access
- Must be able to successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Must be able to successfully obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Credential to gain access to federally controlled work sites
