Clinical Requirements Procedures and Skills Needed : Low and high-risk pregnancies, routine deliveries, and C-sections.

Vaginal breech delivery and VBACs.

Management of complications like abruptions and multiple births.

Proficiency in OB ultrasounds and gynecologic procedures (e.g., IUD insertion, cystoscopy, colposcopy, LEEP).

Laparoscopic and open gynecologic surgeries.

Certifications & Qualifications Board Certification : Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Licensure : Active Michigan state license required.

Additional Certifications : No advanced life support certifications are required, but candidates are encouraged to hold ABLS, ACLS, BLS, or similar.

Additional Information Hospital Support : Collaborate with 68 RNs daily.

Residents and Students : Supervise family medicine residents and medical students during rotations.

Deliveries : Approximately 370380 deliveries annually within the unit.
