The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 5:00am to 1:00pm. Overtime as needed. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may require overtime.
Job Responsibilities- Load, unload, stock tires and auto parts in a fast-paced warehouse environment using industrial vehicles such as a forklift or picker equipment
- Use scanners to find and put away tires and assist with inventory control
- You can expect to lift 50 pounds consistently throughout your shift and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds. When lifting commercial tires you will do team lifts or use mechanical equipment.
- When working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires you will need to be able to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds
- Some of our stock racks are 25 feet tall, so you must be comfortable working at those heights safely while operating equipment.
- Be on the move. You should be willing and able to work on your feet for extended periods of time and work overtime as needed
- Contribute to our culture of safety, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and operating procedures.
- May assist other departments, such as ecomm, inventory, and will call depending on business needs

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be qualified as to visual, auditory, physical, and mental ability to operate equipment safely with or without reasonable accommodation. The Walsh-VINCI Transit Community Partners (WVTCP) Joint Venture consisting of VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Walsh Construction has been selected to construct the $2.9BN Design Build Red Line Extension (RLE) project – the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). The RLE Mainline Design-Build (MDB) Project will extend the CTA's Red Line by 5.6 miles, extending from the existing terminal at 95th/Dan Ryan south to 130th Street and Doty Avenue.
As the Materials Coordination Lead on the $2.9BN Red Line Extension Project (RLE) in Chicago-Illinois, you will be responsible to schedule, review, track, and coordinate the material documentation, including test reports, to demonstrate project conformance with the Contractor’s Quality Management System and Contract requirements relating to permanent materials and materials put into place for temporary use by the CTA.

Manage, develop, and help successfully launch new semi-metallic, non-asbestos organic friction materials for Carlisle’s extensive customer base. Manages a group of formulators of dry and metallic friction products while still being a formulator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Directly and indirectly develop friction materials in transmission and brakes for off highway (mining, construction, agriculture), aircraft, power sports, recreation, heavy truck, and industrial applications. This will include supervising and some pilot/fabricating of test materials manufactured in plant environments.
· Participate in and sometimes lead project/program management of a typical APQP/stage gate/phased launch process for creating new materials (NPD, NPI).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
· Minimum of a Bachelors Degree, in Chemistry, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Physics, Composite Materials & Structures, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Masters or Advanced Technical Degree in these fields preferred but not required.
Experience and/or Training:
· Ideally 10-15 years of experience (more preferred) in compounding/formulating, product development, testing, and launch of materials.
· Ideally 3-5 years of experience (more preferred) in managing formulators/compounders.
· Position requires a strong theoretical knowledge of physical properties and materials science relating to the use of such materials in friction material composites.

The Data Center Material Logistics Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain and material flow for the project site. You will design and implement the logistics plan that ensures all materials—from bulk commodities to specialized equipment—are procured, received, tracked, and staged to meet aggressive construction schedules. As a Senior Design Engineer at TASSCO, you will lead the design and execution of custom-engineered bulk material handling systems and components for abrasive environments. This role combines deep technical expertise in material flow, structural design, and wear mitigation with a hands-on, project-driven approach. You’ll own projects from concept to final implementation—ensuring system reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
You will collaborate closely with sales, operations, manufacturing, and field teams while leveraging tools such as AutoCAD Inventor and discrete element modeling (DEM) to optimize performance. Your designs will directly contribute to the success of capital and MRO projects across industries including mining, aggregates, power generation, and heavy industrial.
LOCATION: Birmingham, Alabama. Office hours: 7:30-4:30pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead engineering design of custom bulk material handling systems including transfer chutes, towers, supports, and liners
- Apply DEM software and simulation data to enhance material flow and reduce wear
- Create detailed design packages including 3D models, BOMs, stress calculations, and manufacturing notes
- Specify structural reinforcements, wear-resistant materials, and overlay/fabrication techniques
- Interface with CNC, plasma cutting, forming, and welding processes to ensure manufacturability
- Coordinate closely with sales, estimating, shop, and field service teams throughout the design cycle
- Review customer bid packages and translate specifications into actionable engineering plans
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight on drafting, design standards, and QA processes
- Deliver complete design proposals including scope definition, system layout, and budget analysis
SUCCESS METRICS
First 3 Months: Learn TASSCO’s design standards, ERP workflows, materials, and key systems. Support ongoing projects with AutoCAD 3D layouts and fabrication drawings. Begin conducting DEM model reviews and participating in site visits
First 6 Months: Independently lead small-to-mid-size design projects and generate full drawing packages. Perform structural calculations and specify reinforcement and wear treatments. Incorporate DEM results into optimized designs and complete at least one full system
First Year: Deliver multiple large-scale designs with high accuracy and manufacturability. Lead capital and MRO project design scopes from concept to implementation. Mentor team members and propose improvements in materials or processes for performance gains
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
Experience:
- 8–10 years of engineering experience in mechanical or structural design, ideally within custom steel fabrication or heavy industrial systems.
- Proven background designing bulk material handling systems or other engineered-to-order capital equipment.
Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a strong plus but not required.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Inventor and 3D modeling.
- Hands-on experience with discrete element modeling (DEM) software for flow simulation.
- Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques (e.g., overlay, hard-facing), CNC processes, and manufacturing constraints.
- Experience applying AWS, AISC, and OSHA standards to structural and welded assemblies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and project tracking tools.

Role Overview:
The Material Planning Senior Manager will lead material planning, with direct responsibility for developing and managing processes and monitoring operating strategies in collaboration with cross-functional business partners. Utilizing SAVIOM, Excel, and Veranova’s ERP system, this role will integrate production planning, capacity planning, and manufacturing scheduling for a portfolio of client-owned products.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a comprehensive monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process from the ground up, aligning demand forecasting, supply planning, and financial analysis to drive operational efficiency and strategic decision-making
- Manage SAVIOM planning system daily
- Ensure materials are available to meet production timelines while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Develop and maintain mid- to long-term material requirements plans based on the master production schedule (MPS), customer forecasts, and inventory strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish, align and maintain tactical range assumptions and corresponding production plans that consider capacity, lifecycle management, and regulatory requirements
- Perform and optimize supply planning, capacity, utilization, and detailed scheduling assessments to validate business requirements and client demand scenarios. Objectively evaluate options/trade-offs and develop Site Leadership -level recommendations
- Facilitate and drive cross functional prioritization and coordination of monthly and quarterly Production plans with Manufacturing, ARD, PRD, Quality, Procurement, and Project/Program management. Prioritize, coordinate, and drive resolution to any issues, changes or interruptions that could impact the Production Plans
- Monitor material requirements planning for all GMP and Non-GMP materials. Analyze and plan material requirements based on Production plans and client demands across the site. Adjust the Production Plans and requirements by analyzing changes in client demands, inventory levels, production schedules, QA/QC needs, etc.
- Support the enhancement and implementation of planning processes and procedures, and the implementation of materials planning through the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system
- Provide guidance to the cross-functional scheduling and coordination meetings to ensure the on-time execution and delivery of products as committed to clients
- Maintain, and refine key planning and scheduling related data, performance indicators and measurements to provide reliable data-driven insights to site leadership for strategic decision making
- Track the implemented planning data and inputs to reporting tools through the ERP System (D365), MS Excel, Power BI, and other technologies to improve production, material planning and scheduling and site wide planning
- Support audits and inspections by providing accurate material traceability and documentation
