What You Bring

- Utilize prints, charts, change notices, sketches, work orders, and engineering drawings to complete work assignments effectively.
- Impregnate materials and cut fabrics to size using appropriate tools such as knives and shears.
- Hand and machine finish parts to required tolerances, ensuring proper fit within completed assemblies.
- Sand and polish molds to achieve smooth surfaces and wrap mandrels with impregnated materials to meet specifications.
- Place vacuum bags over wrapped parts, test for leaks, and seal any identified leaks in pressure and vacuum bags.
- Prepare and apply protective materials, lacquers, and parting agents to molds, forms, and dies.
- Load, unload, and operate ovens, presses, and pressure bags during the curing process of parts and assemblies.
- Drill, trim, seal, part-mark, sand, and edge break parts to meet production requirements.

Summary:

Position Responsibilities:
Spray and/or brush prime, finish prime, and protective coatings to aircraft detailed parts and assemblies in accordance with blueprints and specifications.
Prepare surfaces to ensure proper adhesion, including the removal of corrosion and paint stripping, as well as performing chemical reactivation of painted surfaces.
Perform rework and touch-up painting using spray and brush techniques per BAC specifications.

Basic Qualifications:
1+ years of experience working with mechanical or structures related statements of work; such as construction, aerospace, automotive, maritime or similar industry; this can include education and military.
1+ year experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
This position requires you to wear eye, hearing, foot, hand, respirator and other personal protective equipment/safety gear at all times.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience performing aircraft structural work or equivalate.
1+ years of experience using high impact vibratory tools; such as bucking/riveting.
Enrolled in a Boeing partnered manufacturing related high school or community and technology college academic program
Conflict of Interest:
Successful candidates for this position must successfully complete the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
Typical Education & Experience:
High school graduate or GED preferred.
