- Handle both low-risk and high-risk deliveries, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and child.
- Call Coverage:
- Provide 24-hour call coverage, including attending to obstetric emergencies and gynecological surgeries through the L&D unit and the Emergency Department.
- Respond promptly to calls within a 30-minute timeframe, ensuring timely care and intervention.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with a team of 2 OB/GYNs, 2 Family Practice with OB (FPBO) physicians, and 2 Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) in a collaborative care model.
- Partner with clinic support staff, including MAs and LPNs, as well as L&D RNs in the hospital, to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Setting: Critical access hospital and clinic, providing essential healthcare services to the community.
- Support Staff:
- In the clinic: MA or LPN support.
- In the hospital: L&D RNs and other essential staff.
- Technology: Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and efficient documentation of patient care.
- Reason for Coverage: To cover for a physician on medical leave, ensuring continuity of care for patients.
- Certification: Must have current BLS certification and an active DEA license.
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Washington state medical license.
- Experience:
- Competence in handling both low-risk and high-risk obstetric cases, including the interpretation of fetal heart rate (FHR) monitoring.
- Experience in performing routine deliveries, complicated deliveries, and emergent gynecological surgeries.
- Rate: Competitive daily on-call rate.
- Travel: Travel and lodging accommodations provided if necessary.
- Credentialing: Expedited credentialing process to ensure a quick start.

Contra Costa Regional Medical Center in Martinez, CA, is currently seeking a full-time, BC/BE OB/GYN Generalist.
Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and clinics provides comprehensive health care for a diverse population in the San Francisco East Bay. The hospital and clinics are home to the Contra Costa Family Residency Program that attracts outstanding residents with an interest in global health with high level training in obstetrics and women’s health. The hospital has about 2,000 births per year, a level 2 nursery, in-house anesthesia and pediatrics, a busy emergency room, and general gynecologic surgical services.
OB/GYN physicians are employed by the county and members of the county physician’s union.
The OBGYN position includes:
- Flexible, full‑scope OB‑GYN practice with opportunities to shape your mix of clinic care, hospitalist coverage, and generalist obstetrics and gynecology.
