ResponsibilitiesTransportation Drivers are responsible for transporting, loading and unloading freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner between our Service Centers.
Perform pre and post trip inspections on tractor/trailer
Affix correct placards to tractor/trailer when necessary
Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle
Interact and converse with internal customers
Safely operate a forklift to unload/ load products when indicated and needed
Be available for irregular work schedules, extended trips away from domiciled Service Center, alternating work shifts and/or assignments
Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines
QualificationsAt least 23 years of age
At least 18 months of commercial driving experience
Valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
* Check and maintain all fluid levels on Transportation vehicle
* Visually inspect belts and hoses for wear
* Inform the Shop Foreman and/or Lead Mechanic of any potential mechanical problems
* Record odometer readings and amounts of fuel, fluid, and oil used in each vehicle, report an accurate reading of school bus fuel gages
* Clean pump islands, bus parking stalls, and compound as needed
* Work in other areas as needed in the summer time, wash bay, etc.
* Ensure that all out of town trip buses have been fueled and checked for proper fluid levels, hose leaks, or worn belts
* Keep pump filters changed to ensure good operations and clean fuel
* Drive a school bus route as needed
* Any other duties as assigned

* Manage bus riders while driving a bus
Working Conditions:
* Ability to handle extreme weather conditions, to climb upon some vehicles in order to raise the hood and check oil and fluids, and to be exposed to fumes and gasoline.

JMT's Construction Management Team is seeking a Transportation Technician IV to perform work as a lead inspector responsible for supervision of transportation construction projects in the state of North Carolina.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Perform inspection of contractor's operations on a variety of transportation projects including roadway and bridge construction to verify conformance to plans and specifications
* Supervise and maintain subordinate inspection staff throughout construction of the project
* Measure and track quantities of pay items
* Gather and maintain record documents including material certifications, testing reports, and inspector's daily diaries
* Interact with the public, government agencies, contractors, subcontractors, and other internal and external parties to respond to inquiries and resolve field issues

Working Conditions
Work is performed in the field. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
