Job Description:

Our Radiologic Technologist performs Diagnostic Radiologic Procedures in a variety of settings and modalities on patients as ordered by physicians in an ethical and professional manner according to hospital and departmental policy and according to any applicable New York State guidelines. We are seeking an individual who can function as a CT/X-ray Tech for our team! 

 
Education / Skills Required:

  • Must be licensed by the NYS Department of Health and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and maintain a current status. 

  • CT Certification required. Candidates without certification may work/be hired into Radiologic Technologist I position and move to level II upon certification. ECH will support training for CT certification and allocate time for studying for the registry with a two year commitment. Leaving prior to two years will require paying back for the time for studying.

  • Requires sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills in dealing with apprehensive patients and family in a professional and compassionate manner. 

  • Requires positive and effective communicating skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation. 

  • Requires the ability to think and act quickly in order to deliver efficient quality care in a variety of stressful situations. 

  • Shift details - Four 12-hour shifts, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, every other week 7a-7:30p.

Experience Required:

  • 1 year CT experience is required. 

  • Candidates without this experience may work/be hired into Radiologic Technologist I position and will be expected to secure their CT certification as soon as possible upon becoming eligible.  Please see commitment requirement above.

POSITION SUMMARY

BASIC KNOWLEDGE

Satisfactory completion of formal Medical Radiography training in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.  Employees who are cross-trained in more than one DI modality are responsible for all aspects of the job descriptions in each separate modality.

Competencies in each modality must be kept at adequate levels of performance for each area, and necessary documentation, including certification renewals, must take place on a yearly basis.

High school graduate or equivalent. Vermont State License to practice Medical Radiography.

Position description

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach Electrical Engineering or Computer Science courses should an opening arise. These are not tenure-track positions - selected candidates will hold the title of Lecturer. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the department. Due to budget restrictions, no funding is available for visa or relocation expenses.



In addition to lecturing responsibilities, general duties for these positions include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g. syllabus), and maintaining a course website.

The Electrical Integrator L2 will provide technical support to program managers, project directors, task leads, and senior-level Electrical Integrators. The Electrical Integrator L2 will help with mid-level troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical cables, circuits, and assemblies.

Department Information

The Campus Engineering team exists to provide support to all aspects of design, construction, operation, and maintenance of campus facilities. Campus facilities include not only the buildings which are occupied by our students, faculty and staff, but it also includes central campus utility plants and the associated utility systems, including chilled water, steam, power, and natural gas

During the design process, first, our Team creates and maintains the design standards for building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, power distribution, and lighting. These standards are used by us, and by our outside consultants, to guide the design efforts of new buildings and renovation projects. Our team is also responsible for reviewing the design documents created by the consultants to ensure that their designs comply with standards.

During construction projects, our Team is often called upon to provide advice related to unforeseen conditions which are discovered during demolition work. We often provide a second review of material and equipment submittals, as well as shop drawings. On most campus construction projects, the day-to-day interaction with the contractor is managed by our co-workers within one of the Construction teams. However, on a few projects we may be called on to manage those day-to-day contractor activities.

Post construction, and throughout the life of the facilities, our team serves to provide advice to our Operation & Maintenance teams, and our Utilities Maintenance team, when a problem grows larger than their capacity. We also plan and prepare the way for projects to replace equipment as it nears the end of life. We are always looking ahead for opportunities to increase efficiency and resiliency in the systems.
