Clinical Spotlight: Island Surgical Services

Working on Martha’s Vineyard during the summer is a unique clinical experience. The patient population surges from 20,000 to over 200,000, significantly increasing the volume of orthopedic trauma (bike/moped accidents) and urgent general surgeries. You must be prepared to act quickly and efficiently, as the nearest Level 1 Trauma Center requires a Medflight transport.

Oak Bluffs is one of the most picturesque towns on the island, famous for its "Gingerbread Cottages" and proximity to the ferry.
