JOB DESCRIPTION
The Tooling Design Engineer is responsible for technical ownership of the Invar layup mold design scope, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, manufacturing intent, and release‑level documentation prior to design handoff.
Responsibilities include:
- Own tool architecture and design intent for Invar LM tooling, including facesheets, substructures, lifting features, casters, drill bars, and return flanges
- Ensure design compliance with vacuum integrity requirements, DB locations, TC integration, and customer‑provided standards
- Interpret and apply AWS/WPS welding requirements within drawing notes and weld details
- Lead design reviews, adjudicate comments, and control scope through approval and release phases
- Coordinate technical interfaces between tooling design, CAD development, and checking activities
- Approve final design and drawing packages for release prior to customer handoff
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 8–12+ years of tooling or large‑scale mechanical design experience
- Direct experience with aerospace composite tooling or large welded Invar structures strongly preferred
- Proven ability to deliver release‑ready designs under fixed‑fee constraints
- Must have strong experience utilizing NX

Job Description
- Pick and pack orders of signs & sign supplies in preparation for shipping to customers.
- Load and unload delivery trucks by hand as well as a forklift.
- Ship and receive orders, utilizing RF scanners & Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Maintain clear and accurate records on all inventory.
- Accurately measure and cut custom size product pieces for customers using panel saw and/or roll slitter.
- Examine workplace conditions daily to ensure they conform to applicable OSHA standards and Grimco’s Warehouse Safety Checklist.
- Assist couriers and delivery drivers’ load vehicle, verify load for accuracy, and work to maximize delivery efficiency.
- Maintain equipment, trucks, and warehouse (e.g., cleaning/sweeping warehouse, maintenance, special projects).

We are seeking a Process Optimization Engineer to enhance the efficiency, quality, and safety of our manufacturing processes at our Owensville, MO facility. In this role, you will design, troubleshoot, and optimize processes to reduce waste, boost productivity, and ensure exceptional product quality while leading impactful projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Development & Optimization: Design and refine manufacturing processes to maximize uptime, minimize waste, and meet customer specifications while considering material properties, equipment capabilities, and operator workflows
- Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to drive efficiency and enhance product quality; propose and execute projects using PDCA methodology with clear ROI justification

Position Overview

PAY RANGE
$70.21 to $102.91 per hour
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform current Welding Standard Work with excellence, including accountability for quality of work performed.
- Assess and resolve simple problems in execution of standard work with suggestions for improvement.
- Fit, setup, operate, inspect and troubleshoot all tools and equipment necessary to execute standard work proficient with MIG, STICK, TIG and FLUX core welding
- Identify all out-of-standard and nonconforming conditions; alert Team Lead and/or Supervisor for remediation.
- Identify and propose ideas to improve safety, quality, throughput, and teamwork.
- Execute and maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S methods.
- Continuously learn new job skills within the workflow / plant to improve overall effectiveness of the organization.
- Perform all work according to area and AMETEK procedures and code of conduct.
- Able to execute all standard work with a high degree of efficiency and able to train others to improve their efficiency.
- Understand and identify sources of waste in the workflow and work with Team Lead / Supervisor to eliminate.

Requirements:
- 5-7 years' Welding experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Basic computer literacy using Microsoft Windows.
- Basic math skills and ability to use basic measurement equipment (ruler, scale, calipers, tape measure).
- Ability to use various hand tools (wire strippers, pliers, wrenches, etc.)
- Stooping, kneeling, standing for long periods of time.
- Lifting (regularly up to 50 lbs.)
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision and depth perception.
