CarterWill Search is partnering with an AmLaw 200 firm with a nationally recognized litigation practice, to identify a high-performing commercial litigation associate for their growing New York office. This role offers real courtroom exposure and the chance to run cases independently within a collegial, collaborative team.

What You'll Do

• Handle complex commercial disputes in New York federal and state courts, including the Commercial Division in New York County
• Take ownership of and independently manage litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft high-stakes briefs, motions, and other court filings requiring sophisticated analytical and writing skills
• Conduct depositions and manage discovery with attorney oversight
• Collaborate in teams on high-profile matters while demonstrating the ability to work independently

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school; strong academic record required
• Law school graduation year 2020–2022 (3–5 years of litigation experience)
• Demonstrated experience handling complex commercial disputes in a law firm setting
• Proven track record of federal and state court practice in New York
• Superior legal research and writing skills — a writing sample will be required
• Admission to the New York bar in good standing
• Federal clerkship experience a plus
