Tax Attorney – M&A, Private Equity, Fund Formation (Partner / Counsel / Associate)

Los Angeles or San Francisco

Our client’s team is seeking an experienced Tax Attorney to join their collaborative and high-performing group in Los Angeles or San Francisco. No portable book of business is required for this opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising corporate clients on tax matters related to mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, fund formation, and cross-border transactions. You’ll work with domestic and international public and private companies, as well as private equity and venture capital firms, hedge funds, and distressed debt funds, on the tax aspects of mid- to large-scale transactions across a wide range of industries.

Ideal Background:

• Significant experience handling complex tax issues in M&A, fund formation, and private equity transactions.
• Strong technical understanding of partnership taxation, corporate restructuring, and international tax considerations.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Open to candidates at the Partner, Counsel, or Senior Associate level.

In this context, the client is searching for a Chief Academic Officer (CAO) to lead their comprehensive and equity-centered academic program spanning from TK to 12th grade.

The role involves high-level academic system leadership, integrated with community involvement within the unique social, political, and community framework of East Oakland.

The CAO is tasked with enhancing academic outcomes while maintaining the clients credibility and trust as a community partner.

The candidate must adeptly navigate Californias charter systems while building relationships with families, community leaders, and other external stakeholders.

The CAO reports to the CEO and has oversight of approximately 200 staff, including principals, special education, mental health services, and academic teams.
