Position Summary:

Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

How you'll contribute

 

A Physical Therapist who excels in this role: 

  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of those patients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs. May be assigned to orient staff and students and assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.

  • Assesses patients' needs; identifies and initiates appropriate physical therapy interventions; works cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.

  • Observes and evaluates treatment affect, accomplishment of short- and long-term goals. Recommends change to physician, if needed.

  • Performs an appropriate assessment on each patient and performs reassessments, as per policy. Performs accurate and timely QI scoring. The population is adult and geriatric patients requiring an adult medical rehabilitation program and services.

  • Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function of participation in rehabilitation; makes appropriate interventions to reduce pain; makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.

Interim Clinical Manager oversees the daily operations of the 31 bed Emergency Room, ensuring efficient patient care and staff coordination. You will assist in managing the budgets, implementing policies, and maintaining quality standards while addressing emergent situations. Supervising clinical staff, optimizing workflows, and ensuring compliance regulations will be executed daily. The interim Clinical manager role consists of 40 hrs per week, with a flexible schedule / work-life balance.

What we're looking for

The right candidate will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and/or physician.
