Budget Analyst

The position will be in-office every day and report to the Chief Financial Officer. The ideal candidate will be degreed and have 5 years of experience in a non-profit organization developing and managing budget operations. The role oversees budget planning, development, revenue forecasting, and reporting for assigned departments, program, grants and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Budgeting, cost allocation methodologies, data analytics, business intelligence and data visualization software (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, SAP Business Objects, SAP Analytics)

• Design Financial Reports, dashboards, and financial performance management

• Strong analytical, accounting, and budgeting principles

• Auditing principles and methods to ensure validity of the financial data and financial reports

• Ensure financial compliance with funders and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required

• Data visualization software experience (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, SAP Business Objects, SAP Analytics)

• Solid experience in accounting knowing your debits and credits

• Strong analytical skill set and a high attention to detail

• Ability to identify and resolve problems and discrepancies

• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel – Advanced)

• Strong communication skills (verbal & written)

• Comfortable being hands-on and rolling up your sleeves and getting into the work

• Excellent time management skills, a problem solver, and meet deadlines

Experience: 5 years of responsibility overseeing accounting, budgeting or auditing functions (Senior Budget Analyst, Senior Accountant, Senior Auditor, Treasury Analyst)
