What you will do in this role:

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record. - Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

We are at the dawn of a new GME Academic Enterprise, with new programs in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, and multiple fellowships launching alongside us, building on the success of well-established programs at sister facilities in the Lee Health System. 

Faculty positions are available at both Gulf Coast Medical Center campus and the established Lee Memorial campus in order to support the overall Academic Center growth and expansion.

You will be an integral part of shaping our vision, designing an innovative curriculum, and mentoring our growing cohort of Family Medicine residents. Specialized opportunities in Sports Medicine, Obstetrics and Palliative Care may also be available for the right candidate.

Lee Physician Group Urology is seeking a full-time BE/BC Urologist to join their busy 9 physicians, 8 advanced provider practice. The practice has three outpatient offices located in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Lehigh Acres. Candidate can expect to treat general urologic conditions including, prostate disease, kidney stones, incontinence, oncology, and erectile dysfunction with minimally invasive surgeries and robotics. Special interest in female urological conditions is a plus! There will be weekend call coverage with AP support. Physicians utilize EPIC EHR and dictation software in both settings.

The candidate will provide full-spectrum, comprehensive, and preventative care to their patients. This full-time position will be based in Cape Coral, Florida. There is a 1:6 call rotation including weekend newborn rounds at Cape Coral Hospital.

LPG Pediatrics has offices located in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Estero, Lehigh Acres, and Port Charlotte. The support staff for the practice includes medical assistants, LPNs, RN case managers, and dieticians. Providers utilize EPIC for their electronic medical records.

Position Information:

LPG Rheumatology is seeking a full-time physician BC/BE in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology to join their busy and growing practice. Candidates for this position will be fellowship trained in Rheumatology. There are 3 outpatient clinics that are located in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Estero. This position will be based at the Fort Myers location. The call for this outpatient only position is 1:8. This is light office-based call only with no hospital responsibilities. The practice values continuity of care and works collaboratively with multiple other specialties within Lee Health including Pain Management.

Position Information:

LPG Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a physician BE/BC in Obstetrics & Gynecology to join their busy team. This practice consists of eight physicians and sixteen CNM’s/1 WHNP. The practice physicians deliver and administer surgeries out of our Healthpark Medical Center with privileges at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida and Lee Memorial Hospital, as there is the need for call coverage. Weekly call rotation is 1/9 with a full complement. Candidates for this position will need to be AIUM certified to read OB and GYN ultrasounds, this requirement can be obtained within the first 6 months of employment. In addition, the candidate will be interested in doing OB and GYN procedures, including Colposcopy, LEEP, Endosee, Circumcision and GYN Surgeries.
