Job Title: Contracts Manager β Utility-Scale Solar & Energy Storage

Position Summary
The Contracts Manager oversees all contractual activities for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects from early development through project execution. This position ensures compliance with contract requirements, manages risk, and supports project teams in delivering high-quality projects on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in contract negotiation, risk mitigation, and familiarity with industry standards in renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Drafting & Negotiation
- Prepare, review, and negotiate EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), O&M (Operations & Maintenance), supply agreements, and other project-related contracts.
- Partner with legal counsel to ensure alignment with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain contract documentation, exhibits, and version control.
Risk Management
- Identify contractual risks at all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce exposure and resolve disputes effectively.
Project Support
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, and procurement teams to align contract terms with project timelines, budgets, and objectives.
- Track contract execution and ensure adherence to all terms and conditions.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the primary contact for clients, vendors, and subcontractors on contractual matters.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain organized, accurate records of all contracts and related correspondence.
- Provide regular updates on contract status, risks, obligations, and key deliverables.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelorβs degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or a related field. JD or MBA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in contract management, ideally within renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure.
- Demonstrated success negotiating complex EPC and supply agreements.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction law, commercial terms, and risk allocation principles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Proficient with contract management platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Knowledge of regulatory and permitting requirements in the renewable energy industry.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel to project sites and meetings with vendors or contractors.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly capable Quantitative Power Markets Analyst to join our team at a utility-scale renewable energy Independent Power Producer (IPP) focused on the development, ownership, and operation of solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
In this role, you will work closely with traders, engineers, and data scientists to design and deploy market-driven models and analytical tools that inform energy dispatch, bidding, and trading decisions. You will play a key role in real-time market analysis and strategy execution, helping to optimize the performance and revenue of a growing solar and storage portfolio across competitive power markets.
This position is well suited to a quantitatively strong analyst with sound power market intuition who is motivated to apply advanced analytics to real-world trading, dispatch, and asset optimization challenges in fast-moving electricity markets.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelorβs degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience in power market analysis, trading support, or quantitative analyst roles.
- Strong understanding of U.S. electricity market structures and mechanics; hands-on experience with ERCOT or CAISO market data is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and workflow automation.
- Solid grounding in statistics, time-series analysis, and power market economics.
- Experience working with large-scale market datasets, including prices, load, generation, outages, and congestion.
- Ability to independently tackle loosely defined analytical problems with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey quantitative insights to traders, engineers, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated interest in power markets, trading, and renewable energy systems.
