General Summary of Position
Oversees the operation of the Boilers and Chiller Plant and associated equipment ensuring the efficient operation during assigned shift. May be required to lead or assist with regular maintenance or emergency repairs to the boilers chillers and/or related equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Learns and remains current with the latest applicable federal and local governing codes standards and regulations regarding fire safety plumbing electrical and plant operations including but not limited to: OSHA NFPA The Joint Commission ASHRAE ANSI DCRA D.C. Fire & Safety Codes and the Hospital's Fire and Life Safety practices.

Minimal Qualifications
Education

• High School Diploma or GED required or
• Trade/vocational school graduate or equivalent with courses in chemistry physics and/or mathematics and such training as to be able to read: layout diagrams blueprints mechanical drawings work sketches etc. preferred

Experience

• completion of an approved apprentice training program required

Licenses and Certifications

• Must have a current D.C. Third Class Operating License required and
• current CFC License. required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Familiarity with the latest applicable codes standards and regulations including but not limited to: OSHA NFPA The Joint Commission and Fire and Life Safety practices.

Hours Worked: 8 Hours Per Shift, 3rd Shift per day (11:00pm - 7:00am) Monday - Friday

• Combine chemicals in quantities specific to the work order to make quality products batches.
• Read and follow procedures to create batches according to the vendors specifications
• Apply basic knowledge of the chemicals reactions to produce quality batches and /or address errors as needed
• Adhere to all safety protocols, as well as, safely operating all required equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform miscellaneous duties at any supervisors or team leads request

POWER Compounder (2nd Shift: 3:00PM - 11:00PM) 8 Hrs.

To operate line/machine or inspect/pack finished good parts in a quality and timely manner. Performs miscellaneous duties at supervisor’s or team lead’s request.

The Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Department is seeking an Engineering Lab Lead. This individual will collaborate closely with other Lab Leads, Engineering staff, and Technicians to ensure the Engineering Labs adhere to established company policies and provide hardware development support to program teams.

This position works closely with all levels of leadership in multiple organizations as well as managing lab utilization across various projects. As a member of the team, this position will lead day-to-day operation requirements in Engineering Labs, with a particular focus on safety, compliance, security, improvement, and program support. The Lab Lead owns the quality and performance of the EAP Department’s Engineering Labs.

What You Will Do

• Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) Management; provide direction for lab users on established policies.
• Management, coordination, and implementation of:
• Environmental Health and Safety standards
• Lab Operating Procedures
• Property tracking and calibration
• Personnel lab access lists and training matrices
• Take a proactive role in developing, understanding, and implementing common lab processes, tools, templates, and metrics.
• Oversee audit assessment preparation; Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Factory & Lab Assessment reviews; develop corrective action plans and assist in the development of long-range objectives.
• Safeguard classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineer and Mathematics and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience managing safety, compliance, and processes in an Engineering, or similar, environment.

Qualifications We Prefer

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration or STEM field.
• Experience with chemical handling, metrology, and property control requirements and processes.
• Possess strong organizational, coordination, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

The Construction Supervisor must have experience writing contract scopes of work and collaborating with contract administrators. Technical knowledge of mechanical combustion turbine generators, auxiliary support equipment, and balance-of-plant (BOP) assets is required.

• This role requires planning and organizing Mechanical Combustion Turbine Generator projects to achieve project objectives.
• Strong leadership, team-building, outage coordination, planning, scheduling, and supervisory experience are essential.
• Must be willing to work overtime, including night shifts and weekends, as required during planned or forced outages and as directed by management.
• Must be able to travel to various power plant locations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training:

Field Superintendent

We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Construction Field Superintendent with Underground Power experience in the Los Angeles area. Ability to complete construction projects by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors, field staff, and sub-contractors.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Directly oversees job site personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work schedules and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
• Works with Project Manager and Scheduler in the development and refinement of the project schedule to keep the schedules properly updated and see that the job meets the completion date while meeting budget
• Responsible for approving all expenses for each assigned job; ensure they are applied to the proper job and phase code
• Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times
• Orders procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specific times to conform to work schedules
• Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules
• Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used, costs and adjusts work schedules as indicated on reports
• Completes Daily Field Production Reports on a daily basis
• Monitors contract compliance for each job to ensure the company is protected regarding liabilities matters and liens
• Required to participate in resolving labor disputes and related negotiations are required
• Responsible for obtaining signed change orders when appropriate and submitting to their Managers and Accounting for processing
• Provide directions to the A/R department to ensure invoices are properly and timely created
• Ensures company employees and subcontractors are adhering to the company safety policy

Qualifications and Experience

• Four-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration preferred
• 10 plus years of Construction knowledge and experience working in the capacity of a General Foreman or Superintendent in Underground Utility Installation
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics
• Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information
