Position Summary
The Commercial Development Manager (CDM) is responsible for leading new business development execution and commercialization of New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives within the commercial organization. This role is structured as a hands-on player–coach, directly managing a team of Business Development Representatives and Inside Sales while personally owning select strategic accounts and growth initiatives.
The CDM drives new account acquisitions, target market expansion, and early-stage product commercialization efforts. Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, this role establishes segment-level priorities, ensures disciplined pipeline development, and maintains accountability for both individual and team performance. - Own the business development and NPI forecasting and budgeting processes, including setting annual targets in partnership with Finance, managing group expenses relative to budget, and measuring performance against revenue and margin objectives
- Establish and approve pricing strategies and deal structures for NPI initiatives and strategic opportunities, ensuring alignment with margin objectives, competitive positioning, and customer value propositions
- Design, implement, and continuously improve business development processes, including prospecting strategies, NPI commercialization workflows, opportunity qualification standards, CRM discipline, and pipeline management to ensure consistency and accountability across the team
- Own and execute the regional trade show strategy in partnership with the North America Commercial team, including show selection, budgeting, messaging, staffing, pre-show planning, on-site execution, and post-show follow
- Use data and analytics to drive decisions, leveraging dashboards, and reporting tools (e.g. CRM, Power BI, etc.) to evaluate NPI launch performance, prospecting effectiveness, pipeline health, conversion rates, and team productivity and conduct regular data-driven business reviews with the executive and cross-functional stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure successful product launches, seamless new account onboarding, demand planning alignment, and execution of growth initiatives
- Travel as required to coach team members in the field, engage key prospects / customers, represent the company at trade shows and industry events, and gather market and competitive insights to support strategic growth initiatives

- Act as the training liaison between product/manufacturing engineering and general assembly by creating, designing and developing training materials related to vehicle assembly process, electrical harness manufacture, vehicle electrical system architectures and schematics
- Communicate and share lessons learned, developed training materials and information gathered in support of one plant project with remaining plants on a timely basis
- Analyze and identify future training needs for each of the OEM vehicle assembly plants
- Support and participate in plant launch meetings and provide training reports to Raytheon management, the OEM management and OEM launch teams
- Interface with engineering, component suppliers and vendors to validate and develop training materials for the manufacturing process, vehicle and vehicle electrical sub-systems prior to the Start of Regular Production (SORP)
- Research and compile manufacturing processes and technical information to be included in training course materials, such as, but not limited to engineering schematics, work in process service information, engineering documents, engineering math data and manufacturing reports
Required Skills:
- Minimum four years of experience as an automotive instructional designer, training developer, automotive instructor and/or manufacturing instructor
- Demonstrated knowledge of automotive systems from an advanced diagnostics perspective
- Demonstrated knowledge of OEM manufacturing tracking and reporting systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of OEM manufacturing dynamic vehicle testing systems
- Ability to develop professional training materials using pre-launch documents
- Ability to read and interpret a digital multimeter, OEM diagnostic scan tool and other automotive related diagnostic test equipment
- Ability to effectively conduct one-on-one and group presentations Ability to interpret early engineering level electrical schematic diagrams
- Ability to read OEM supplier electrical harness prints
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Extensive travel flexibility. Upward of 75% travel, depending upon launch

Required Education:
- Associate's degree or Certificate in Automotive Technology, engineering or other related discipline

In this role, you'll blend structured analysis with hands-on execution. Required Qualifications
- Bring 2-3 years of experience in consulting; a strong plus for strategy and ops experience within digital health in addition
- Structured problem solving: Ability to frame ambiguous problems, evaluate options, set baselines, define success metrics, and drive toward a clear, testable plan.
- Advanced quantitative analysis, modeling, and synthesis skill: Experience building advanced Excel/Sheets models, validating assumptions, and translating data into clear recommendations. Comfortable with business intelligence tools and pressure-testing outputs. SQL is a strong plus.
- Excellent project management toolkit: Ability to develop project plans, manage dependencies, and land milestones on time with clear accountability.
- Systems thinking and scalability: Focused on designing solutions that scales, with thoughtful people/systems/tooling approach.

About the Role
The Footwear Merchandising Contractor supports and develops a specific business category by helping drive category strategy, managing the product line’s look and feel, and delivering financial and efficiency targets. The role partners closely with Product Managers on organization, line planning, product strategy, development, and launch activities, while evaluating category performance and building deep product knowledge across current lines, upcoming launches, and the development pipeline.

Product Strategy:
- Responsible for managing a category – subject to review of the category lead
- Making decisions for the category subject to review and approval
- Developing footwear product line vision and strategy that integrates with the overall long-term vision for the ARIAT brand
