Position Overview
The Land Acquisition Analyst will focus exclusively on institutional multifamily land and investment land sales transactions. This role offers exposure to every stage of the transaction lifecycle — including market research, underwriting, financial modeling, offering memorandum preparation, and Broker Opinion of Value (BOV) deck creation.
This is a high-energy, team-oriented environment where Analysts work closely with Producers and clients to identify, evaluate, and position multifamily land opportunities. Key Responsibilities
Transaction & Financial Analysis
- Perform complex financial modeling and underwriting for multifamily land and commercial real estate transactions
- Analyze market comparables, internal LAO data, and macroeconomic trends to support pricing and positioning strategies
- Prepare investment sales advisory packages, offering memoranda, BOV presentations, and executive summaries
- Assist in evaluating acquisition opportunities, budgets, assumptions, and risk factors
Research & Market Intelligence
- Conduct in-depth market research, demographic analysis, and economic trend evaluation
- Source and research land acquisition opportunities
- Utilize proprietary databases and third-party platforms to identify trends and actionable insights
- Review real estate documents (leases, loan documents, appraisals, surveys, etc.) to identify potential risks or issues
- Maintain a project pipeline of potential site opportunities across multiple markets/states
Business Development & Team Collaboration
- Support Producers in client pitches and meetings through data preparation and presentation materials
- Participate in weekly deal flow and strategy meetings
- Assist in building and maintaining industry relationships through events and trade organizations
- Contribute to expanding the multifamily land acquisition pipeline
Additional Duties

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred)
- 2–4 years of real estate brokerage, investment sales, private equity, or commercial finance experience required

IN A NUTSHELL
We are seeking an entry-level Land Use Technician to support our Wireless Telecommunications and Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure teams. This role contributes to projects that help expand digital connectivity and sustainable infrastructure across communities. The Land Use Technician assists Land Use Planners and Project Managers with the coordination and administration of zoning and permitting activities required for infrastructure deployment. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. The successful candidate will communicate regularly with internal teams and municipal jurisdictions while ensuring project information remains accurate and up to date. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn regulatory processes while gaining experience in land use planning within the telecommunications and energy infrastructure industries.
DAY-TO-DAY
• Assist with obtaining permits for wireless telecommunications and electric vehicle charging infrastructure projects
• Prepare, organize, and submit permit applications to multiple jurisdictions
• Maintain and update internal and external project tracking databases to ensure accurate reporting of project statuses and timelines
• Utilize Geographic Information System (GIS) tools and jurisdictional resources to research site and zoning information
• Review jurisdiction ordinances and regulations to support Land Use Planners in determining zoning compliance
• Track and monitor permitting timelines and proactively follow up with jurisdictions to support project progress.
• Communicate with municipal development departments (planning, building, right-of-way, etc.), consultants, and internal teams to coordinate application requirements and provide project updates.
• Responsibilities include preparing and submitting jurisdictional applications, maintaining project tracking systems, conducting regulatory research, and supporting the overall permitting workflow.
• Prepare daily FedEx, certified mail, and standard mail submissions related to permitting documentation
• Scan, organize, title, notate, and upload project documentation into internal systems and client databases to maintain accurate records
• Participate in client deployment calls and internal project coordination meetings
• Shadow the Land Use Planners at public hearings
DO YOU BRING?
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational ability
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, while being adaptable with the evolving project priorities, processes and market changes.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to follow up on tasks and project requirements
• Problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Exposure to zoning or permitting documentation preferred
• Administrative or project coordination experience preferred
• Experience reviewing real property documents such as leases or easements preferred
• College degree preferred

We are seeking a motivated land use associate attorney to join a highly respected boutique law firm's team near Paramus, NJ. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of hands-on experience with municipal land use, zoning, permitting, and administrative hearings in New Jersey, strong client-facing skills, and an ability to manage matter workflow efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients before planning boards, zoning boards of adjustment, and municipal agencies in New Jersey.
- Prepare and file applications, variances, site plan materials, and municipal permit packages.
- Draft and negotiate land use-related agreements, escrow/land development conditions, covenants, and consent orders.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memos on municipal land use statutes, local ordinances, and case law.
- Advise developers, property owners, municipalities, and institutional clients on compliance, due diligence, and risk mitigation.
- Prepare hearing materials, witness examinations, and legal arguments; present at hearings.
- Assist with land use litigation, municipal appeals, and administrative enforcement matters.
- Coordinate with planners, engineers, surveyors, and other consultants; manage discovery and case/document organization.
- Maintain client communications and assist partners in business development and proposals.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- 1–3 years practicing land use, zoning, municipal law, or closely related area.
- Admission to the New Jersey bar preferred; NJ bar-eligible candidates will be considered.
- Practical experience with planning/zoning board procedures, variances, site plans, and municipal permitting.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
- Professional demeanor, client-service orientation, and collaborative teamwork.
- Familiarity with local land use ordinances, the Municipal Land Use Law (MLUL), and relevant NJ case law preferred.
