Powdered Coating Process Specialist (12hr Rotating Shift)
- Lockport, IL Position Summary Our client, a high tech, powdered coating manufacturer, is looking for a dedicated Process Specialist who will be responsible for monitoring (laboratory testing) and controlling various production processes in order to provide high quality and efficient production of finished product.

This position is a rotating 12hr Shift (48 hrs.

one week, M, T, F, Sat.

& 36 hrs.

the next Sun, W, Th in consistent patterns.) changing from day shift to night shift every two weeks (6am morning start time, 6pm night start time).

Essential Functions and Duties Maintain and issue current paste formulations to production team.

Adjust paste formulations as needed within established processing limits.

Testing of in-process paste and powder production samples.

Utilize and strictly adhere to standardized test methods based on ASTM methods, Government, Industry, or company developed test methods.

Utilize, develop, and/or modify documents within the TAI ISO 9001 system.

Also using company report system (Ramco) Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field.

Excellent communication skills at all level within the organization.

Computer proficiency using MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

Willing to accept recent graduates, permitting they have a Chemistry degree.

Equivalent or relevant experience will be considered.

Schedule: 12hr Rotating shift 48hrs one week, (M, T, F, Sat.) 36hrs the next week (Sun, W, Th) in consistent patterns changing from day shift to night shift every two weeks.

Day shift start time 6am, night shift start time 6pm.

Remote CAD NX1980 Designer Needed for Fermi National Laboratory Our client, Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, located in Batavia, Illinois, near Chicago, is a United States Department of Energy national laboratory specializing in high-energy particle physics.

The experienced designer will operate under limited supervision to prepare mechanical designs and drawings utilizing NX1980 and Teamcenter, correctly applying the ASME Y14.5-M-1994 (or higher) GD&T standards.

If selected for an interview, there will be a virtual skills assessment.

The candidate will virtually take control of a Fermi computer with the NX1980 software installed on that computer.

Expected Work hours: 8 hours of work per day.

(Monday – Friday) Project Length: One (1) year.

(Project can be extended) Worksite Location: Remote position.

Quality Assurance of Designs: Β· Submitted designs will be done in accordance with Fermilab QAM and APS-TD and Design/Drafting Procedures.

Β· All work will be reviewed & approved by designated Fermilab staff.

Requirements of the position: Β· Demonstrate proficiency in NX1980 CAD on a video interview on ZOOM.

Β· Minimum of a 5 years of experience as designer.

Two temp-to-hire Chemical QC Technicians (Near Chicago’s Midway Airport) Our client, located near Midway Airport in Chicago has an immediate need for two QC Technicians.

Our client holds a leadership role in providing Specialty Coatings, Lubricants and Adhesives, since 1935 serving the steel, automotive transportation and general manufacturing industries.

The positions are starting as contract with the intended option of temp-to-hire.

They have both a first and second shift opportunities, with the 2 nd shift candidate initially starting on 1 st shift for training.

This is a first shift position M-F 8am-4:30pm the 2 nd shift position is M-F 1:00pm-9:30pm SUMMARY: The Quality Technician I is responsible for testing raw ingredients and finished products against specification by following testing SOPs in the lab.

Communication with manufacturing, R&D laboratory, Shipping and Sales is essential.

Perform tests and inspections in an efficient and accurate manner to facilitate manufacturing schedule and demands by performing required duties.

These positions are considered entry level Lab Tech positions that will be under the close supervision of the Team Lead or Mgr.

Training will be required to gain competency in performing the basic QC required tests and the proper documentation into databases including the use of Spreadsheet calculations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Β· Perform QC tests for raw materials & production batches in an accurate, precise and efficient manner.

Β· Review and analyze data for conformance to specs, issue corrections based on prior history, and record test data.

Β· Understand hold & release process requirements & interact with production and supervisory personnel.

Β· Replenish supplies and refill chemicals as needed.

Β· Perform regular maintenance and daily verification of all laboratory equipment and instruments.

Β· Perform routine/repetitive tasks in the laboratory & handle routine documents.

Β· Put away retain and retest samples.

Β· Properly dispose of obsolete & expired samples & materials according to H&S regulatory standards.
