- Patient Ratio: 1:3-4/n
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend/n

/n/nQualifications — ICU RN / Travel Nurse Requirements/n
/n
- Minimum 2 years recent ICU, PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown experience (critical care / stepdown nurse)/n
- Valid RN license in North Carolina or Compact State (required at time of start)/n
- ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS certification required/n
- Experience with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips/n
- Proficiency in telemetry, dysrhythmia recognition and management/n
- Experience with rapid response teams, IV insulin protocols, and blood product administration/n
- Central and peripheral line care/management, PICC line management/n
- Chest tube management (Emerson/Pleur-evac), external CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care/n
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, infection control, and non-invasive airway management/n
- Epic electronic charting (Epic EMR) experience preferred/n
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start/n
- Open to first-time travel nurses/n
/n/nKey Responsibilities — ICU / Stepdown RN/n
/n
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an ICU stepdown setting (critical care nurse duties)/n
- Monitor and manage patients with complex diagnoses: post-rapid response, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, GI bleeds, post-op patients, and OB complications/n
- Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips (e.g., Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Neo)/n
- Recognize and treat dysrhythmias using bedside telemetry monitors and perform bedside EKG interpretation/n
- Perform central and peripheral line care, manage chest tubes, tracheostomies, and non-invasive airway devices/n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response/n
- Float to sister ICCU unit as needed based on census and skill set/n
- Maintain strict adherence to isolation precautions and infection control protocols/n
- Document patient care accurately using Epic (Epic EMR) and complete all required documentation in a timely manner/n
