Job Description
- Manage a heavy pre-litigation personal injury caseload from intake through settlement
- Conduct case investigations to evaluate liability, damages, and settlement strategy
- Draft and review pre-lit documents, demands, releases, and key correspondence
- Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel to maximize outcomes
- Provide excellent client service with consistent, proactive updates
- Coordinate closely with paralegals and support staff to keep files moving and organized

Qualifications

Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Litigation Associate who can hit the ground running on complex aviation and tort cases. This is a true case‐handling role for an attorney who can own files, supervise junior lawyers, and work directly with sophisticated clients in a lean, high‐expectation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as lead or second‐chair counsel on complex aviation and other civil defense matters in federal and state courts.
- Develop and execute case strategy, including early case assessment, motion planning, and trial preparation.

Manage all aspects of litigation including discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, trial, and appeals.

Conduct and defend depositions effectively, preparing witnesses for testimony to ensure the best possible outcome.
3.
Appear for status conferences, adeptly arguing motions and actively participating in settlement conferences.
4.
Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, and agreements.
5.
Provide expert legal advice to clients, presenting complex legal matters in a clear and concise manner.
6.
Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to effectively manage case load.
7.
Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.
8.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, and government regulations.
9.
Participate in business development activities to attract and retain clients.
Qualifications: 1.
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

3-4 years of experience as a litigation associate.

Admission to the TX State Bar and in good standing.
4.
Experience in state and federal courts.
5.
Proven track record of conducting and defending depositions.
6.
Demonstrated experience in preparing witnesses for testimony.
7.
Experience in appearing for status conferences and arguing motions.
8.
Experience in participating in settlement conferences.
9.
Extensive experience in trial preparation.
10.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
11.
Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.
12.
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
13.
High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas.
14.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
15.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently.
