The Opportunity

Mozley, Finlayson & Loggins LLP (MF&L), a full-service and rapidly growing law firm headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join our Insurance Coverage Practice Group.

Our attorneys represent insurance companies in both state and federal courts throughout Georgia in first-party disputes arising over hurricane, fire, water, business interruption, and other claims as well as declaratory judgment actions and coverage opinion letters.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with experienced partners and senior attorneys
• Handle all stages of litigation from case initiation through trial
• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and discovery documents
• Conduct depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Perform in-depth legal research and provide strategic analysis
• Manage multiple active litigation files and deadlines
• Prepare for and support trial and appellate proceedings
• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing with the Georgia Bar or meets the Georgia Bar requirements for Admission on Motion without Examination
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in insurance coverage and civil litigation
• Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced litigation environment
• Attention to detail, resourcefulness, and critical thinking capabilities
• A commitment to professional growth and development in civil trial practice
