Director of Sales for The Woobles

Location: Bentonville, AR preferred. Candidates currently based in Bentonville or willing to relocate are strongly encouraged to apply.

Type: Contract-to-hire

The Woobles is a fun, quirky brand with a lean team. We’re looking for a Director of Sales with proven sales skills across a diverse portfolio of mass retail customers and who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role will focus primarily on growing The Woobles within major mass retailers, including accounts like Walmart and Target. You’ll lead the strategy, relationships, and revenue planning for these partnerships while working closely with our product and operations teams to ensure we deliver a great retail experience from pitch to shelf.

About The Woobles:

The Woobles exists to show people it's never too late to learn a new skill.Β  We teach complete beginners how to crochet by combining a physical kit with emerging ed-tech tools.Β

Our work is meaningful. Many of our customers turn to The Woobles to spark joy in their and their loved ones’ lives. Since 2020, we’ve successfully helped over 1 million people experience fiero - the feeling you get when you accomplish something you once thought was impossible.

We’re a healthy business. We have no investors and with that, comes freedom. Freedom to make choices that are best for our customers, employees, and business.Β

We’re an unusually small team for our revenue, and we plan on keeping it that way. We're all about getting the job done with as little busy-work and meetings as possible. Our team is fully remote, spanning Wisconsin to China. So while we do a lot of our work asynchronously, we also know how to have a good time virtually anywhere ;)

We’re on a rocket ship. We’ve seen unbelievable growth in our 5 years in business. Every day is a busy day, and the fast pace excites us. We’ve got ambitious goals to 1) make better products that make a significant impact on how millions of people see themselves, and 2) build a lasting brand that people more than love – that they obsess over.

About you:

You’re an all-around good human being. Life is short, and you want to be around people you like. You’re kind, honest, and trustworthy. You want to work every day with positive, direct people who make you and your day better. No big egos allowed.

You value autonomy. You do your best when you’re given lots of responsibility and independence. You thrive in ambiguity and enjoy making decisions. Lots of them. When you run into problems, you have the resourcefulness to solve it on your own, and the self-awareness to know when you need help. You’re comfortable working remotely.

You care deeply about doing great work. You’ll do whatever it takes to get things done. But you don’t just settle at that. You’re always looking for ways to break your own records the next time around. Your teammates know they can always count on you, just like you can count on them.Β

You eat feedback for breakfast. You’re always looking for ways to improve (yourself, the process, the product, you name it), so you give and take feedback with equal grace.

You’ve got a sense of humor. Because have you seen what we make? You’re an emoji connoisseur and appreciate the art of well-timed GIFs. You want to work somewhere where a sentence like this is 100% relevant: β€œThere’s 3 dinos on this one but I think it’s OK because one is riding a turtle.”

The role:

You’ve built and managed mass retail partnerships before. You understand how big retailers work, how buyers think, and what it takes to grow a brand the right way inside those environments.

You know that success in mass retail isn’t just about selling units. It’s about building a category story, managing margins thoughtfully, and making sure the product actually performs once it hits the shelf.

You’ve personally owned relationships with major retailers like Walmart, Target, or similar large accounts. You know how to prepare for line reviews, build compelling assortment proposals, and work through the realities of retail planning cycles.

You also know that great retail partnerships require great execution. Forecasting, inventory planning, and cross-functional coordination with operations, supply chain, and product teams are all part of the job. You’re comfortable working closely with those teams to ensure the retail side of the business runs smoothly.

You think strategically about assortment and channel expansion. You know when to push for growth and when to protect the brand. You’re thoughtful about which retailers make sense for The Woobles and how to build those partnerships in a way that sets everyone up for long-term success.

You operate like an owner. You treat your accounts like a business inside the business. You plan for the year, track performance closely, and adjust quickly when things change.

What success looks like in the first year

  • Expand The Woobles’ presence within existing mass retail accounts & onboard the right new opportunities within the channel
  • Launch new product assortments that perform strongly at shelf
  • Create a brand story on shelf - you won’t just be filling pegs
  • Build strong retailer partnerships that balance growth with brand integrity
  • Establish and execute a clear revenue and profitability plan for the mass channel
  • Execute forecasts with high accuracy - OTIF should be near perfect
  • Maintain and grow ASPs across all mass accounts
  • Minimize chargebacks
  • Keep inventory levels healthy across all accounts
  • Expand omni channel planning - grow in store and online
  • Revolutionize the JBP process - make The Woobles stand out from the rest
  • Position The Woobles to be a best in class partner across every step of the sell in to sell through process.

Overview

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at the University of Vermont is seeking a full-time faculty member to join our dynamic and collegial Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Division. This role is ideal for an REI physician with a strong commitment to medical education, leadership, and advancing excellence in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. We welcome applicants who are board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and who have completed or are completing fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. There is also an opportunity to serve as the Program Director for our AGGME-accredited fellowship program, based on interest and qualifications.

Protected academic time and mentorship are aligned with promotion pathways for clinician-educators, clinical scholars, and physician-scientists.

Physician-Led Model and Faculty Autonomy

As a university-based, mission-driven program, we are not private-equity ownedand prioritize physician leadership, practice autonomy, and patient-centered care. Faculty participate directly in clinical operations, program development, research direction, and strategic planning, with the ability to shape clinical workflows, laboratory collaboration, and new service lines.

Our model combines the resources of an academic medical center with the flexibility of a physician-led practice and is supported by a strong institutional commitment to provider well-being and professional fulfillment. In 2025, the University of Vermont Health Network was designated a β€œJoy in Medicine” health system by the American Medical Association – an honor awarded to fewer than 10% of applicant organizations nationwide.

Burlington and the Vermont Lifestyle

Burlington offers the rare combination of a nationally recognized academic medical center and an exceptional quality of life.

Burlington is consistently recognized in national rankings for quality of life and safety and is known for its strong civic engagement, culture of inclusion, and values-driven approach to education, healthcare, and public life. The region offers outstanding public schools, a safe and family-friendly environment, and a vibrant downtown with a thriving food, arts, and music scene. Indeed, Burlington was recently named by Food & Wine as one of the best small U.S. cities for food and drink, reflecting its vibrant farm-to-table culture, local agriculture, and chef-driven dining.

Outdoor recreation is integrated into daily life, with world-class skiing, hiking, cycling, and lake activities minutes from campus, making it easy to maintain an active lifestyle year-round. About the area

Situated in the San Fernando Valley among the world's major movie studios, Panorama City provides a central location for working families to enjoy a suburban lifestyle while still feeling close to the modern metropolitan conveniences of LA. Major freeways, Hollywood Burbank Airport, and public transportation make this location accessible and easily commutable.

Working here

At Panorama City there is a deep focus on continuous variety, learning, and new challenges. To keep things fresh and enhance outcomes, our leadership takes an active role in connecting physicians with their interests, whether in specialties, initiatives at the medical center, community involvement, or in growth and leadership opportunities. A culture of kindness has created a warmth among β€œPan City” physicians; there is a distinct joy and gratification in coming to work. This collegiality is a constant: due to our smaller size, physicians are able to meet each Friday, discussing new ideas and how to improve services. New hires are quickly integrated and supported, both professionally and personally. Taken together, Pan City’s attributes have enabled a cohesive, high-functioning team that expertly serves a diverseβ€”and very appreciativeβ€”patient population.

About the area

With its medical center northwest of Los Angeles and its scope reaching as far north as Ventura, the Woodland Hills/Ventura County service area offers an impressive range of experiences. Great weather enables year-round surfing, hiking, golf, and other outdoor sports. And beyond our area are Los Angeles to the south and Santa Barbara to the north, for world-class dining, entertainment, and cultural activities.

Working here

The Woodland Hills/Ventura County area is geographically diverseβ€”reaching from the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles to Ventura County along the Pacific Ocean. Our area offers both the urban/suburban experience of the Woodland Hills Medical Center and the distinctly bi-cultural, small-town feel of the Ventura County medical office. Yet, at our core is one cultureβ€”characterized by the partnering and teamwork of our medical staff, the high level of physician engagement, and the focus on maintaining a highly evolved model of care. A family medicine residency program at the medical center adds an academic vibrancy. Strong emphasis is placed on wellness and interaction, with formal and informal events, potlucks, and other social activities. A robust on-boarding program ensures that new hires can quickly integrate, professionally and personally, forming lasting bonds and furthering the area’s collegial environment.

Equal Employment Opportunity

External hires must pass a background check/drug screen. Qualified applicants with arrest and/or conviction records will be considered for employment in a manner consistent with Federal, state and local laws, including but not limited to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran, or disability status.
