Automotive Service Technician
Responsibilities: As an Automotive Technician you will perform vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
* Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, steering, suspension, brakes
* and air conditioning to required specifications.
* Perform vehicle inspection to identify necessary repairs.
* Provide labor and time estimates for all repair work.
* Inspect and test vehicles to determine necessary and applicable repair work.
* Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for service repairs.
* Participate in on-going company and manufacturing training and education programs, to stay
* current and abreast of changing technology.
* Provide and maintain a basic inventory of required hand tools.
Requirements:
* Previous automotive dealership experience preferred
* ASE certified preferred
* Diesel or transmission background a plus
* Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
* Must have your own tools.
* Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
* Must display good judgment

About Dental Care of Sherrills Ford
Dental Care of Sherrills Ford, like each Heartland Dental supported office, is unique to the community and the patients they serve. Minimum Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in North Carolina and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)

- 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems

Physical Requirements

What you'll do...
- Maintenance Work Planning & Scheduling:
- Lead the detailed development, coordination, and control of maintenance and project work packages to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution, particularly during facility ramp-up and ongoing operations.
- Develop and maintain integrated schedules for preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities, including weekend and shutdown plans, utilizing advanced planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Maximo, SAP).
- Create comprehensive work packages detailing procedures, permits, required materials, resource allocation, and craft-specific task sequences.
- Conduct field walkdowns to confirm job scope, work boundaries, safety conditions, and material readiness, ensuring plans are executable and align with plant procedures.
- Asset Management & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify spare parts and develop initial preventive maintenance (PM) job plans for new equipment, continuously reviewing and improving existing job plans based on equipment failures, feedback from skilled trades, and engineering input.
- Assess and understand risks during the repair process, developing equipment validation plans post-repair to ensure reliability.
- Lead and coach teams in leveraging machine monitoring tools to identify and eliminate production constraints, driving continuous improvement (SQDCPME) initiatives.
- Participate in MOS meetings to analyze equipment failures and contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
- Coordination & Data Management:
- Coordinate multi-discipline work planning activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control (I&C), and facility workstreams.
- Interface with engineering, operations, and other relevant teams to validate scope, field conditions, and ensure work readiness.
- Ensure accurate data entry and status updates in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (e.g., Maximo, SAP) to support real-time schedule forecasting, outage coordination, and KPI reporting.
- Generate comprehensive reports and metrics on planning progress, schedule compliance, and work package readiness for leadership and stakeholders.
- Compliance & Operational Support:
- Apply formal change management protocols to address scope, schedule, or resource deviations while maintaining configuration control.
- Ensure strict adherence to all government, industry, and Ford corporate safety, health, environmental, and quality standards throughout all planning activities.
- Synchronize resources and activities required for problem-free equipment start-ups and shutdowns.
- Be flexible and willing to assist with other job functions and departments as needed, including back-filling other roles, to support overall facility operations.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 3+ years of demonstrated maintenance leadership experience, directly managing teams and indirectly influencing cross-functional groups to achieve objectives.
- 3+ years strong working knowledge and proficiency with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM) is essential.

What You'll Do
Key responsibilities may include:
- Preventative Maintenance:
o Regularly inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and performing scheduled maintenance on production equipment like mixing machines, coating machines, clean rooms, and assembly robots to prevent breakdowns.
o Work on continuous process improvements to ensure the line is operating at its designed level at all times.
- Troubleshooting and Repair:
o Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues with production equipment, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Equipment Calibration:
o Performing routine calibrations on critical measurement devices to ensure accuracy in the production process.
- Quality Control:
o Monitoring production processes to identify potential quality defects and taking corrective actions to maintain product quality standards.
- Data Analysis:
o Interpreting equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies.
- Safety Compliance:
o Adhering to all safety procedures, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any safety hazards immediately.
- Documentation:
o Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaboration:
o Working closely with production operators, engineers, and other maintenance technicians to identify and address equipment issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum requirements:
- Department of Labor or State Recognized Certification, or Military Equivalent
- Previous Industrial Mechanical experience or combination of previous work experience and training equivalent
- Working knowledge of advanced mechanical principles
- Exceptional computer skills, reading and data interpretation
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Comfortable learning new technology
- Legally authorized to work in the US

- Previous industrial mechanical experience or combination of previous work experience and training equivalent
- Expert knowledge and experience of automation machinery specifications
- Expert knowledge with machining, repairing and/or rebuilding machinery, and machine components using laths, mills, grinders etc
- Advanced knowledge of all mechanical systems
- Proficient in reading and comprehension of technical drawings and schematics
- Advanced computer skills, reading, and interpreting data
- Fundamental knowledge of PLC such as Siemens, Rockwell, etc.
- Knowledge and skills of conveyors, drives, robots, and computers
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including troubleshooting fans and blowers
