Position Summary:
Select cases and other containers of food and non-foods products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems. Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack/forklift, wrapped, labeled and readied for shipment in a timely manner observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
  • Review work schedule, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations. Perform a safety check on pallet jack/forklift to be used and insure that all other safety devices are functioning properly. Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
  • Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
  • Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
  • Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required. Use single and/or double pallets as directed.
  • Transport completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallet for staging.
  • Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and provide operational support of the centralized warehouse, to include all functions related to receiving, storing, issuing, distributing, and disposing of supplies and equipment, including hazardous materiel (i.e., printer toner, batteries, compressed gases, 1.4-class arms ammunition).

What you will be doing as a Commercial Tire Technician:

For tires (functions performed per TIA Commercial guidelines):

· Remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs on commercial and large equipment tires (in shop or at customer location)

· Safely separate and reassemble tires onto wheels, using specialized equipment

· Inspect casings for defects

· Locate and seal tire punctures (patch and plug)

· Prepare rims and wheel drums for reassembly by scraping, grinding or sandblasting

For retreads:

· Prepare retreads (discuss tread with customer, prepare work order, put in staging area, load on truck)

· Unload retreads (unload from truck and stack in warehouse area)

For vehicles:

· Perform fleet inspections to assess tire needs and make recommendations to fleets as needed

Equipment:

· Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks

· Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to: safety cage, spreader, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks

· Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Inventory Management
  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming inventory, including racks & trays, networking equipment, and other hardware
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation for all items received and shipped
  • Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Shipping and Receiving
  • Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments

  • Assist in the setup and installation of computer server racks according to provided instructions
  • Help in the assembly of server racks by following diagrams and guidelines provided by senior team members
  • Handle basic tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete installation tasks.
  • Support senior technicians in cable management and organization within the server racks

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • To be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software, as well as proficiency in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
  • The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
  • Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks
