Job Summary/Purpose: Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.
Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date. Refer to policy A141 for more details. A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Staff Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Staff Structural Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Houston, TX. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of structural design projects, including new construction and retrofit work, while collaborating with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in structural analysis, modeling, and design, along with experience using industry-standard engineering software and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with structural project design and analysis including PLS-Tower modeling, FEM structure modeling, and reinforcement design
- Support new construction and structural retrofit projects
- Contribute to the development of project budgets, schedules, and man-hour estimates
- Assist with project deliverables from conceptual design through detailed design
- Prepare and develop engineering drawings, layouts, and calculations
- Execute design modifications based on redlines, markups, and project changes
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and structural data to support project planning and design
- Apply engineering codes and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements
- Review drawings and project documentation for quality assurance within scope, schedule, and budget
- Maintain organized documentation of 3D models, drawings, and project files

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or related field (ABET-accredited) with 3+ years of structural engineering experience, OR

- Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering with 2+ years of experience

:Overview of Unit/DepartmentCox Health is a Level 1 Stroke and Trauma center and the 8th floor is the main nursing unit who cares for those specific patients in a variety of age groups.
Our expertise covers a wide variety of neuro diseases, not only in Stroke and Trauma, but also seizures, neck and spinal fusions, traumatic brain injuries, craniotomies, and telemetry patients.

What you will do
- Contributes to the nursing assessment by collecting, reporting, and recording objective and subjective data.
- Provides direct care in a safe manner.
- Evaluation of the plan of care on a continuous basis.
- Effectively communicates in writing and orally with patients/families and other health team members.
- Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery in assigned area.
Education/Formal Training Requirements
- Required - Technical Degree or Diploma Nursing

Licenses and Certifications Requirements
- Required - BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
- Required - Licensed Practical Nurse - Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing
- Preferred - Licensed Practical Nurse - Mississippi - Mississippi Board of Nursing
- Preferred - Licensed Practical Nurse - Arkansas - Arkansas State Board of Nursing
Supervision Provided by this Position
- There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position.
Physical Demands
- The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
- Must have good balance and coordination.
- The physical requirements of this position are: medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently.
- The Associate is required to have close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform an activity, such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
- Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact.
- Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
- Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
