Program Manager, Volunteers and Internships – Direct Hire – Novato


Community based healthcare non-profit is seeking a dynamic Program Manager to organize, lead and coordinate their volunteers and interns. In this newly created role, you will serve as central point of contact with both internal and external community partners, while working in close collaboration with management and the human resources team. This is an exciting opportunity to build this role from the ground up. Prior Human Resource experience in a healthcare environment is highly preferred.

Program Manager responsibilities…

  • Recruiting: select, onboard and place volunteers, interns; develop volunteer job descriptions, policies and procedures, operational forms, and orientation/training materials.
  • Onboarding and Orientation: requesting, collecting, and reviewing all required documentation, conduct new hire orientation
  • Program Coordination and partnerships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with community partners. Manage volunteer pool and serve as a liaison between interns/volunteers, managers
  • Collaboration and communication: Work closely with managers and HR staff to align needs; Support HR Department initiatives


Program Manager qualifications…

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, or commensurate experience highly preferred
  • Prior healthcare environment exposure; human resources experience is a plus
  • Experience coordinating volunteer and/or intern programs; recruiting, placing staff
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish a plus


Starting annual salary range is $89 – 100k. Competitive benefits package!
