Job Summary and Qualifications

Assists the IR supervisor to ensure the safety guidelines and radiographic equipment safety is in compliance for the department.

Maintains competency and proficiency with all Interventional Radiology equipment in order to obtain quality images.

Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self. Utilizes all personal protective equipment. Operates Interventional Radiology equipment safely.

Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (i.e. RIS, PACS) to ensure proper procedural documentation and charges.

Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner. Explain all procedures to the patient. Performs physical assessment by checking IV's, catheters, tubing, etc. Communicates and coordinates all Interventional Radiology procedures with the appropriate caregivers.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Vocational School Graduate
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
  • Minimum of two years working as an Interventional Radiology Technologist (Required)
