Job Description:

  • Security Officer Covers posts (e.g., customer counter, employee, vehicle entrances, guard houses, gates, construction gates, parking lot, perimeter, etc.)
  • Screens employees (in/out) and personal baggage at pedestrian and vehicle entrances
  • Verifies seal controls on vehicles at gateway (cut and apply seals)
  • Verifies identity badges of personnel for clearance, screen vehicles
  • Conducts roving patrols, on foot or in vehicle around perimeter fences, gates, buildings, warehouses, storage areas, switchyards etc.
  • Identifies fire hazards, unauthorized activity malfunctioning utility, hazardous conditions
  • Monitors CCTV
  • May be required to perform emergency duties which require physical exertion such as: standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying up to 50lbs. and running.
  • Performs additional duties related to security of premises as required

Qualifications:

Qualifications

Guards shall meet all the following requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Must possess and show documentation to demonstrate completion of a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma
  • Must have effective written and oral communication skills.

Job Description

Typical Duties:

  • Provide unarmed security services on foot or by vehicle to perform customer service, fare inspection, and civil enforcement actions across the entire alignment.
  • Lead interactions with the public and customers from a customer service approach while trained and prepared to adopt a security or civil enforcement posture.
  • Identify and report security and safety violations.
  • Inspect 20% of all fares system-wide each day.
  • Monitor the system for the possibility of public disturbances.
  • Issue civil citations for violations of transit-related ordinances and testify in court regarding those ordinances, if necessary.
  • Assist in emergency situations, including, but not limited to, special events, crowd control, service interruptions, collisions, and fire or life safety incidents.
  • Exercise the Agency's civil authority to enforce the removal of individuals who are trespassing on Agency property, with the assistance of local law enforcement when necessary.
  • Notify law enforcement of any illegal activity, provide a documented account of all activity witnessed, and assist law enforcement as required.
  • Take prompt action to address security incidents and, to the extent observed, accidents, fire, property damage, and safety hazards.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

U.S. citizen or authorization to work in the U.S.

21 years of age or older.

Valid Arizona State Driver's License, if in a position that requires driving.

Possess a valid security guard license.

Possess current First Aid and CPR certification cards and be familiar with an AED defibrillator.

Free of any job-related felony or major misdemeanor convictions, as determined in accordance with EEOC Enforcement Guidance 915.002.

Education and Experience:

High school graduate or equivalent.

One year experience as a security guard, member of the military, or police officer. Preferred security experience includes forward-facing customer engagement, de-escalation, crisis management, and professional communication. Physical & Mental Requirements
  • Must be fully capable of performing the full range of security work requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion under either normal or emergency conditions. Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of shift hours.
  • Exhibit good general health without physical defects or abnormalities which would interfere with the performance of duties under the contract.
  • Must possess a good distance vision in each eye, correct to 20/30 on the Snellen chart. In addition to that, must possess normal fields of vision, good depth perception, close vision correctable to Jaeger #4 type test of both eyes, and ability to distinguish basic colors.
  • Hearing loss must not exceed 30 decibels in both ears or 35 decibels in the poorer ear.

Job Summary

The National Account Manager reports to the Senior Vice President of Operations. The major responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following duties:


  • Manage daily Security Officer operational staffing requirements and administrative functions, meeting business goals and objectives for a national account across North America.
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections, monitor, and manage their direct management team, along with the Security Officers in the assigned region
  • Ensure subordinate supervisors understand and deliver orders, ensure sufficient resources are available to support and/or establish posts in a timely fashion, and are appropriately filled according to contract requirements and post orders

Other Requirements or Competencies

  • Can independently develop reports, spreadsheets, diagrams, charts, graphs, and other products that may be needed. (e.g. – MS Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint).
  • An understanding of security operations and contracts management preferred.

Job Summary

Under general direction, the VP of Recruiting will monitor daily operations of the recruiting department and actively assist or provide direction to other recruiters. Main Responsibilities:

  • Patrol sales floor and parking areas to deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity.
  • Monitor CCTV systems to identify any suspicious behavior or security threats.
  • Provide assistance to customers and employees as needed, including responding to medical emergencies or customer disputes.
  • Enforce store policies and procedures to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Work closely with store management and local law enforcement agencies to address security concerns and incidents.
  • Complete detailed incident reports documenting any security-related incidents or activities.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance security knowledge and skills.
  • Provide security field operations in a proactive, effective manner with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Maintain engagement on security priorities at all times.
  • Provide effective responses to security related activities, incidents, inquires, suspicious circumstances and emergencies.
  • Coordinate with Security Leadership on expectations, priorities, and implement solutions as needed.
  • Ensure all security assignments are executed at all times.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with the leadership on site.
  • Line management-blocking off hazardous areas, directing traffic.
  • Create professional, well written incident reports for all security incidents.

Requirements:

  • Active or retired Police Officer.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior security experience is preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • High School Diploma, with some college credits, (preferably bachelor's degree), or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in security, customer service, or a closely related role.
  • Strong computer and systems skills, including office software, access management, CCTV, alarm systems, and incident reporting.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid Armed MD Security License
  • Speak, read, and write English.
  • Must possess above average computer skills and must hold all necessary and required licenses, permits and certifications required by the of assignment to perform security officer duties.

Job Summary


The National Account Manager reports to the Division President. The major responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following duties:

  • Manage daily Security Officer operational staffing requirements and administrative functions, meeting business goals and objectives for an array of different states throughout North America
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections, monitor, and manage their direct management team, along with the Security Officers in the assigned region
  • Ensure subordinate supervisors understand and deliver orders, ensure sufficient resources are available to support and/or establish posts in a timely fashion, and are appropriately filled according to contract requirements and post orders
  • Serve as Inter-Con’s Regional contract liaison with client representatives to ensure delivery of the highest quality of service within a limited turnaround time
  • Oversee the training and operational employment of Account Managers, Field Supervisors and Security Officers
  • Ensure the highest standards of conduct, appearance, performance, and training are being met at all times
  • Keep the Senior Vice President of Operations apprised of contract performance by accurately communicating status of compliance and identifying any deficiencies in a timely manner



Other Requirements or Competencies

  • Can independently develop reports, spreadsheets, diagrams, charts, graphs, and other products that may be needed. (e.g. – MS Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint).
  • An understanding of security operations and contracts management preferred.
  • Understand operational KPIs and ability to utilize data to drive operations.
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, time management, and multi-tasking skills required.
  • A great communicator that gets the value of teamwork. Able to interact in a corporate environment and effectively communicate with all levels of management.
  • Must be flexible and possess the ability to meet deadlines in a high tempo, ever changing, fast paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • A dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm, and a positive work attitude.
  • Customer Service orientation required.
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% to all facilities in the Southern California and Nevada areas.


Education and Experience:

  • Preferred candidate has either an honorable military discharge, a Bachelor’s degree or 10 years’ experience in an operations management and project management role.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Various periods of operating, transiting, maneuvering in the field environments.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Additionally, the position requires near and far vision in reading correspondence and using the computer, and acute hearing when providing phone service.
