A Child's Place at Unity House of Troy is seeking passionate and qualified Master’s Level Special Education Teachers (Birth–Grade 2 certified) to join our welcoming Special Education Department.
We are looking for a special education teacher to join our co-teaching model in an integrated setting. Our program strives to provide diverse, curriculum driven opportunities for identified children to learn along side their peers.

$5000 sign on bonus for eligible candidates Salary based upon experience and qualifications.
Salaried Monday – Friday 35hrs/week
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Special Education
NYS Certification: Students with Disabilities, Birth–Grade 2
Proficient writing and computer skills
Ability to implement and adapt behavior support plans
Reliable transportation & valid NYS driver’s license
Key Responsibilities:
Assess developmental and educational needs of preschoolers with special needs
Design and implement individualized, evidence-based instruction
Perform student assessment and evaluation required
Adapt behavioral plans accordingly
Work with a supportive multi-disciplinary team
Collaborate with all staff, teachers, therapists, administrators and families to benefit the children served
Create inclusive, supportive classroom environments
Conduct evaluations and maintain required documentation
Promote a classroom of inclusion and belonging
