Position Summary

The Telecommunications Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations, design, evaluation, and maintenance of enterprise telecommunications systems across multiple hospital campuses and remote clinical locations. This role supports both clinical and administrative staff by ensuring reliable voice and unified communications services, including VoIP, TDM, analog systems, contact center platforms, and messaging solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with enterprise telephony systems, vendor collaboration, and complex voice/data network environments.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage and support all telephony moves, adds, and changes (MAC requests).
• Respond to and resolve daily ServiceNow (or similar ITSM) tickets for clinical and administrative users.
• Maintain inventory of telephones, softphones, extensions, voicemail boxes, headsets, and associated hardware.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain unified communications platforms including Cisco, RingCentral, Avaya, and other voice applications.
• Perform system programming, tracing, log analysis, and station configuration.
• Support contact center applications, including skills-based routing, hunt groups, vector programming, and agent configuration.
• Collaborate with department leadership and stakeholders to assess telecommunication needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Work closely with external vendors on complex installations, upgrades, and maintenance of voice and data networks.
• Support and maintain SIP, PRI, LAN/WAN, and POTS environments.
• Evaluate existing telecommunications technologies and recommend improvements or enhancements.
• Communicate project progress and system impacts to leadership and team members.
• Work within defined project timelines, prioritizing tasks in fast-paced healthcare environments.
• Participate in a rotational 24x7 on-call support schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with telecommunications and IT network systems.
• Experience collaborating with outside vendors on complex voice and data network projects, including installations, upgrades, and maintenance involving SIP, PRI, LAN/WAN, and POTS.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, RingCentral, Avaya voice applications, or other unified communications platforms.

This position reports to the SPY-6 Production Array Program Manager and leads the execution efforts of the recurring production sell-off.  This lead will be responsible for ensuring that equipment delivery commitments are made on time and within budget, focusing on Array Build Integration & Testing, and RHS assembly builds, including Mechanical Structures & RMA Chassis material. Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience. 

• Prior IPTL experience.

• Prior experience on a low-rate initial production (LRIP) or full rate production program, preferably in the aerospace and defense industry.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior IPT lead experience with heavy interaction with Operations and Supply chain function.

• Experience working with production of SPY-6 Systems.

• Master’s Degree from an accredited university.

• Raytheon PM Certification Level 6 (or equivalent) or ability to obtain within a year.

• Demonstrated program execution experience managing program staffing, assignments and resources with cross-functional teams in an IPT organizational structure.

• Prior Functional leadership experience.

• Program execution experience under a firm fixed price contract structure.

• Demonstrated experience in leading a program or IPT over $50 million in annual sales.

• Experience working with Navy and/or International customers

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) team. NASAMS is a cutting-edge air defense system that protects critical assets and population centers from aerial threats by integrating advanced radar, command and control, and missile systems. This role is based in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, where you’ll work collaboratively to deliver high-quality software solutions that support the NASAMS system effectivity chain: Detect, Decide, Engage, and Destroy.

Leveraging Agile and DevSecOps principles, you’ll design, develop, test, and deploy software for mission-critical capabilities. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and deliver real-time software for NASAMS, including Detect, Decide, Engage, and Destroy functionalities.

• Develop solutions for target acquisition, threat evaluation, missile firing, and other critical functions.

• Maintain and deploy complex software in an Agile/DevSecOps environment with secure, high-quality, high-frequency deliveries.

• Mentor junior engineers, promoting technical growth and collaboration.

• Participate in reviews of software components to ensure quality and alignment with program requirements.

• Contribute to testing frameworks and CI/CD practices to enable efficient software validation and delivery.

• Solve problems within defined scope and ensure seamless integration of software with NASAMS hardware and systems.

• Engage: Create algorithms for azimuth slew, targeting data transfer, missile firing, and mission abort.

• Destroy: Support motor ignition, inertial guidance, seeker search, target lock-on, and terminal guidance.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.

• Familiarity with CI/CD environments and pipelines, including experience with DevSecOps methodologies.

• Advanced knowledge of software integration, testing frameworks, and debugging tools.
