The Claims Analyst supports the Claims Department's Operations and Management Teams by developing/maintaining or supporting business reports, applications, and analytical solutions. This role participates in systems implementations, data management initiatives, and analytics work that strengthens Plymouth Rock's performance in loss management, customer service, expense control, and employee engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Claims leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver recurring reports/visuals and ad hoc datasets using SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio, MS Access, Excel and Tableau.
  • Manage the claim department's letter library using low code/no code third party vendor software, including creating/updating letters and creating/maintain automated batch jobs.
  • Collaborate with IT on claims technology initiatives, including but not limited to providing subject matter expertise, writing business requirements, performing user acceptance testing, training and postproduction support.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting automated process and ensure compliance within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred, ideally in a technical or analytical discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics).
  • 1-2 years' experience with SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Access and Visual Studio.
  • Experience in SSIS package development a plus.
  • Business intelligence development experience (Tableau preferred)
  • Previous experience in an insurance industry preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

SALARY RANGE

The pay range for this position is $ 63,500 to $88,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for patients in a subacute or skilled nursing facility.

Product Expertise Understand the product features and functionality, user personas, and workflows.

Cross-functional Collaboration Partner with product management and engineering teams to stay updated on new features and functionality, ensuring that training materials are updated accordingly and working very closely with our business transformation office’s training framework.

Content Creation Develop engaging training materials, including, but not limited to, user guides, high-level process flows, slide decks, and e-learning modules.

Needs Analysis Identify training gaps, monitor product updates, and adjust curriculum accordingly.

Delivery & Facilitation Help conduct live, virtual, or recorded training sessions for users and stakeholders.

Qualifications 5+ years’ experience functioning in a similar function and/or business analyst role within a product management team Instructional Design: Knowledge of adult learning principles and curriculum development Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and teach new product features in fast-paced environments Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences Technology Proficiency: Experience with LMS (Learning Management Systems), virtual training tools and product adoption solutions (such as WhatFix) Communication : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical details to non-technical audience Change Management: Experience with supporting change impact assessments, mitigating actions, and change readiness activities Familiar with accounting and financial concepts Prior experience working with professional services businesses, ideally in the sports, media and entertainment sectors Developing product strategy with product management partners Shipped utilizing product control system Maintain software product management and agile product owner best practices Conduct product review with customer during product or process verification Solve business issues with software Effecting product development and launch Advise management on product development issues arising from product problems identified through technical support call with customers Develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product Participate in pre-production testing and post-production support Reporting customer acceptance of product Consulting the customer product planning and analysis teams Analyze results of new product Help create detailed business requirements and technical system requirements Report for product file database analysis Performing routine inprocess testing to ensure product quality Conduct product review with customer during product or process verification Segregate and control non-conforming items Turn business needs into technical specifications that the software development team Perform product demonstrations to senior management Rotate and store all product
