Conduct thorough patient histories, perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform emergency procedures as needed.

Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician Needed near Fort Bragg, NC (j-235954) Seeking a Skilled and Experienced Emergency Physician for Locum Tenens Role Are you a dedicated Emergency Medicine physician with a passion for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment? We're searching for a qualified physician to join our team in a growing community near Fort Bragg, NC.

This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and extends until the end of October (October 31st, 2024).

Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.

Conduct thorough patient histories, perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform emergency procedures as needed.

Coordinate patient transfers for complex cases (e.g., cardiothoracic, stroke) with major medical centers via airlift or ground transport.

Collaborate effectively with mid-level providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Meditech 6.1 electronic medical record system.

Qualifications: Active and unrestricted North Carolina (NC) license as a physician.

Board certification in Emergency Medicine (EM) is preferred.

Family Medicine (FM) board certification with extensive emergency department experience (minimum 10 years) will also be considered.

Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) are mandatory.

Experience in a hospital emergency medicine setting is preferred.

Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and strong clinical foundation in emergency medicine.

Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams in high-stress situations.

Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a dynamic emergency room setting.

Additional Requirements: Must be fully vaccinated against preventable diseases.

Must be comfortable working as the sole physician, collaborating with mid-level providers for coverage.

Familiarity with the Meditech 6.1 electronic medical record system is a plus.
