The Manager of Co-manufacturing & Sourcing plays a critical role in strengthening Himalaya’s supply foundation and profitability across dietary supplements and personal care manufacturing. This role leads supplier sourcing, negotiations, and contract management for co-manufacturers, raw materials, and packaging, with a strong focus on COGS optimization and margin expansion. Working cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Innovation and Finance teams, this role helps ensure a resilient, scalable supply base, competitive cost structures, and disciplined sourcing strategies that support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard global dietary supplement and personal care co-manufacturers that meet cost, quality, capacity, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure reliable, cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and packaging materials in partnership with internal Innovation and Operations teams, as well as external co-manufacturer procurement teams.
- Build and maintain a structured supplier base for ingredients and materials, segmented by form, category, geography, and criticality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align sourcing decisions with cost, compliance, and commercialization objectives.
- Negotiation & Margin Expansion
- Lead supplier negotiations across pricing, lead times, MOQs, and capacity commitments.
- Negotiate purchasing agreements to ensure supply continuity at optimal cost.
- Conduct SKU-level and portfolio-level COGS analysis to identify and deliver sustainable margin improvement opportunities.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through price renegotiation, alternate supplier qualification, and contract optimization.
- Support co-manufacturer procurement teams in securing competitive pricing for raw and packaging materials.
- Partner with Finance to track realized savings and overall P&L impact.
- Supplier Performance & Risk
- Manage supplier performance across cost, service levels, lead times, and supply reliability.
- Identify supply risks and implement mitigation plans, including secondary sourcing and capacity diversification.
- Lead regular supplier business reviews and report performance and savings to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7 to 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain with direct exposure to nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, or consumer health.
- Demonstrated success in supplier negotiation, cost optimization, and strategic sourcing.
- Comfortable with defining scope, objectives and charting path forward in a role that is new to the company.
- Strong financial acumen with ability to connect sourcing strategies to P&L impact. Demonstrates ability to measure and monitor performance.
- Working knowledge of cGMP as it relates to dietary supplements and cosmetics (OTC & cosmetic) including supplier qualification and compliance considerations.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards for supplements (FDA, Prop 65, Health Canada).
- Awareness of US importation requirements such as FSVP.

- Properly load barcode ticket printer and perform weekly preventative maintenance on the printer

This position offers the opportunity for professional growth and development by joining an exciting and active group of clinicians, physician-scientists, and clinical, basic science, and translational investigators. The successful candidate will closely interact with the many ongoing research programs of the department focusing on carcinogenesis and prevention, treatment, biomarker development, and other projects in support of personalized medicine. The faculty member will have access to THNMO's substantial patient resources, core facilities, animal models, molecular pathology laboratories, and educational/training programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Clinical care, and teaching in the Department of Thoracic/Head and Neck Medical Oncology and will participate in clinical research trial enrollments for our patients. The successful candidate will be expected to broaden a clinical practice to our Houston area locations and develop integrated patient care team.
CARE OVERVIEW:
Clinical - 80%
Practice clinical medicine in an exemplary manner in standards set forth by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, and the American College of Physicians, properly balanced with other academic activities.
Must be capable of providing complete and thorough history and physical patient examinations. Must be able to perform invasive procedures as dictated by the physician's subspecialty. This may require standing, bending, stooping, lifting, hearing, manual dexterity, and providing clear and concise verbal communications.
Develop and maintain a clinical practice for patients referred to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.
Provide physician staffing for the appropriate clinic at a level commensurate with that which would be provided by other internists with the same level of training and experience.
Visually review for proper ICD-10 and CPT coding and approve all charge documents within five working days.
Complete patient documentation for medical records within time frames provided by institutional policy. Will require dictating in a clear and concise manner, and visual review of documents.
Correspond as appropriate in writing or in telephone conversations with physicians regarding patient care and treatment.
Keep abreast of current approaches in the management of patients through attendance at continuing education conferences in the specialty. This will require listening to and assimilating information from the conferences.
Request appropriate consultations for patients by phone conversations or in writing to other physicians.
Provide a role model as a practitioner and scientist for faculty, fellows and residents and students.
Provide peer review for assessing the clinical and research practices of faculty within the department.
Administrative - 2%
Serve on institutional and hospital committees as requested by attending appropriate meetings which may include travel to each meeting site. Listen to deliberations and provide verbal feedback as necessary. Visually review all documents pertaining to committee functions.
Research - 15%
Actively engage in clinical research and scholarly activity to enhance the academic environment of the department.
Develop programs of clinical, research, and scholarly activities in keeping within the goals of the department. Requires the ability to synthesize a myriad of information pertaining to the area of research. May necessitate (orally or in writing) instructing research support personnel in protocol implementation.
Seek appropriate funding mechanisms to support research. May require completion of grant application forms through oral dictation or use of a computer and keyboard. Also will require budget development and analysis.

Role Description
The Stranding Operator is responsible for setting up, loading and operating the stranding machine and making necessary adjustments to ensure the quality of the strand meets required specifications. The Stranding Operator is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the stranding machine.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Record set-up information at the start of each order.
- Load in full bobbins with the use of appropriate mechanical devices.
- Weld or knot new wire with old wire in the machine from previous order (if applicable).
- Thread machine by pulling wire through guides and stranding heads.
- Secure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding head, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.
- Set the proper lay according to order specifications.
- Twist the new strand together and pick the wires into the proper strand construction.
- Adjust bobbin tension and die pressure at the beginning of the order and as required throughout the entire order.
- Inspect and replace tensioning devices as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on operational needs, process changes, or business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Stranding Operators should possess math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Stranding Operators must have the ability to use and read micrometers, tape measure, feeler gauge, and basic hand tools
- Standing/walking on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts
- Pushing/pulling, lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Ability and willingness to adapt to changing job responsibilities, schedules, and operational requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
Materials and Equipment Directly Used
- Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes
- Stranding Operators will be required to use JDE TranCollector scan guns to issue and return material from a work order. Scan guns will also be used to record production and print production tags.
