Job Summary

• Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of SMT processes, including paste printing, pick-and-place FUJI, reflow soldering, and post-reflow inspection (AOI, X-ray).

• Conduct in-depth analysis of SMT process data, identifying root causes of defects and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.

• Develop and qualify new SMT equipment, materials, and processes, ensuring seamless integration into existing production environments.

• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and production teams on SMT best practices, troubleshooting, and process control.

• Collaborate with design engineering, supply chain, and quality departments to ensure manufacturability (DFM) of new products and resolve SMT-related design issues.

• Drive continuous improvement projects utilizing methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and SPC to enhance SMT yield, throughput, and reliability.

• Author and maintain comprehensive SMT process documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and failure analysis reports.

• Evaluate and implement new SMT technologies and industry trends to maintain Jabil's competitive edge and address evolving product requirements.

• Lead efforts in root cause analysis for complex SMT failures, implementing robust solutions to prevent recurrence.

• Represent Jabil in technical discussions with customers and suppliers regarding SMT process capabilities and new product introductions.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.

• 8-12 years of progressive experience in SMT process engineering within a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment.

• Strong Knowledge of FUJI Setup, Nexim and Valor

• Demonstrated expertise in SMT equipment operation, programming, and maintenance, including printers, pick-and-place machines (e.g., Fuji, Programming, etc.), reflow ovens, and inspection systems (AOI, SPI, X-ray).

• In-depth knowledge of various soldering technologies, solder paste chemistries, and component packaging.

• Proven track record of leading process improvement projects and achieving significant yield and cost reductions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making (e.g., SPC, DOE).

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and CAD software for DFM analysis.

• Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

We’re searching for a Remote Assistance Specialist who will play a crucial role in expanding the

remote operations team. This person will be responsible for safely monitoring and resolving trigger

requests from fleet vehicles across public roads and closed course testing sites.

• Respond to and resolve in a timely manner a variety of trigger requests from the autonomous vehicle
• Safely send remote commands to autonomous vehicles for on road and closed course testing
• Log real time feedback regarding autonomy and platform performance during testing, to be delivered to engineers
• Triage and review of remote assist workflows that are key to performance metrics and compliance
• Escalate operational blockers with suggested solutions
• Demonstrate positive impact by working on cross-functional projects as time permits
• Maintain up to date knowledge of how our self-driving technology works. Understand daily software and operational changes
• Work toward quantitative and qualitative goals that impact all of Vehicle Operations
• Interact with the public as an ambassador for the company

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to constantly focus on a laptop monitoring proprietary tooling to aid autonomous vehicle operations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

What you would be doing:

Ensures manufacturing and assembly processes/procedures utilized by Contract Manufacturers meet product quality and reliability requirements.

Tracks ongoing quality and yield performance to drive improvement activities.

Evaluates new product designs for manufacturability.

Assists Contract Manufacturers with problem identification, root cause analysis, and corrective action identification, verification, and implementation.

Implements quality plans for rapidly transitioning products into manufacture.

Determines acceptability of product from subcontractors and internal operations.

Supports quality system development and implementation to applicable codes and standards such as ISO9001, etc.

Performs, documents and track results of internal audits.

Generates, evaluates and tracks corrective action requests.

Inspects and evaluates material and product quality according to internal process and procedures.

Assists in training of company personnel.

What we require (Skills and Background):

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electronics or related discipline or equivalent desired
• Four to six years of previous quality assurance experience in the electronics or power industry required.
• Previous experience working with an ISO-9001 quality assurance program required
• Automotive background experience (IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System in particular) to support EV business.
• Core Quality and Engineering Tools (QMS, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, QCP, PMP)
• Quality metrics and driving metrics improvement (Yield, Cpk, GR&R, Scrap, MRB, DPPM
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and demonstrated ability to review and approve test plans, qualification reports, drawings, documents
• Quality Control Analysis; conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Monitoring/ Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
• Demonstrated advance proficiency with computer software to include MS Office (Word and Excel) and e-mail

Desired Skills:

Auditor or Lead Auditor Certification or Certified Quality Engineer is preferred.

• Close work order within 4hrs after return FG to Stock.
• Manufacturing experience, Power Electronics, (UPS, Switchboards, Panel Boards, Power Distribution Units)
• Accurately complete production reports; complete details of run time report.
• Communicate any material shortages
• Responsible of achieving the daily production requirements
• Assessing project and resource requirements.
• Train new employees utilizing the OI.
• Achieve monthly productivity KPI.
• Read, Review, Plan and organize production schedules. To meet OTD.

• 5S and Safety: Promote safety in the workplace on a daily basis; lead and direct Safety Program on a team as defined
• Lead safety discussions, training with employees, audit associate safety practices during walk around.
• Maintain Delta’s competence plan
• Ensure that all necessary PPE is being follow.
• Report all safety issues to manager.
• Maintain housekeeping standards 5S by inspecting each line, update line charts with data & comments.

• Work Quality: Follow SOP.
• Ready to work before and after shift starts.
• Manage team meetings, and attend additional management team meetings as necessary.

What we require (Skills and Background):

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (preferred) in electrical
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in high-Volume production and/or industrial industry.
• Strong organizational, Leadership & administrative Skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of fabrication, mechanical, electrical, and electronic principals,
• Must understand specific OSHA and EPA standards as they relate to the plant environment.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
