The Role

This is a high-impact role for a technically grounded Project Manager who wants to be at the center of a rapidly scaling operation. You'll serve as the primary liaison for complex, engineered-to-order projects, bridging the gap between customers, engineering design, manufacturing, and final delivery. Reporting to the Project Manager Supervisor, you'll ensure every customer project is executed to order, on time, and within budget.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Plan and direct all activities for designated engineering projects, ensuring goals are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and quality standards.
  • Technical Interpretation: Evaluate customer specifications and drawings to create accurate bills of materials (BOM).
  • Design & Submittal Review: Review engineering submittals for technical and contractual accuracy and oversee the initial design of electrical distribution equipment.

Who We’re Looking For

Must Have:

  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience within the power distribution technology sector, ideally with low- or medium-voltage switchgear, UL 891 switchboards, UL 67 panelboards, circuit breakers, transfer switches, PDUs, etc.
  • Technical Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Compliance Mastery: Working knowledge of relevant UL standards (UL891, UL1558, UL67, UL50 or UL50E).
  • PMP Preferred, not required

About You

The responsibilities of an Asset Protection Investigator encompass the protection of assets for Wakefern Food Corp. and any affiliation such as a 3rd party warehouse, vendors, contractors and all associates conducting business for or with the company. What You’ll Do

  • Monitors the entire guard staff to ensure proper perimeter security is maintained
  • Checks the alarm system to maintain proper internal and external security
  • Oversees the proper entrance and exit of vehicles and pedestrian traffic onto our compounds
  • Interacts with all levels of management and union membership for the achievement of mutual goals
  • Inspects all assigned guard posts and ensures that all guards are in proper uniform, the manpower is at its required numbers and that each post has an inventory of all paperwork needed to function accordingly.

  • Coordinates with all Wakefern Divisions the orderly arrival and departure of sales representatives, outside vendors, service personnel and store pickups at any facility.
  • Familiarizes themselves with the shipping and receiving procedures with all product divisions in order to have the ability to detect any apparent wrong-doing by an employee or vendor.
  • Gathers intelligence and information concerning the theft and/or misuse of Wakefern property by training in specific security interviewing skills programs, (e.g., Wicklander & Zulawski or Reid).
  • Has the responsibility to keep themselves informed about the activity in all of Wakefern’s facilities because of the cross-training required.
  • Monitors the activity of casual unloaders on and off the compound.
  • Prepares all apprehensions for court or arbitration process.

What We Are Looking For

  • Must have a valid driver’s license. Flexibility with regard to rotating work schedule including weekends and holidays in various NJ facilities.
  • An asset protection investigator is present onsite, 24/7, regardless of whether the company is open for business. It is their responsibility, while on duty, to respond within a moment’s notice to any situation, to quickly assess same for cause and to take action as required.
  • An asset investigator must have strong judgment skills, using these skills and knowledge to act in the best interests of safety and the well-being of the associates, as well as protecting the assets of the company.
  • Because of their unique scheduling needs, investigators must be flexible, understanding that their duties deal strongly with emergency situations and they will have to work until the situation is resolved.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills to take control of emergency situations, in the absence of management, and sometimes handle 2 or 3 crisis situations at the same time, using decision-making skills to prioritize the seriousness of each issue.

Job Title : Bomb Technician (EOD) Category / Component : Enlisted • Active Overview Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians locate, identify, render safe, and dispose of explosive threats on land, at sea, and underwater, using advanced robotics, diving, and explosives skills to protect forces and civilians and support fleet and joint operations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities Detonate and demolish hazardous munitions, pyrotechnics, and outdated explosives; neutralize ordnance including sea mines, torpedoes, depth charges, and improvised explosive devices; remotely disable unsafe ordnance using robotic and diagnostic technology; conduct parachute and helicopter insertion operations; clear waterways of mines in support of ships and submarines; provide explosive ordnance support to law enforcement agencies and organizations such as the United States Secret Service and Department of State.

Work Environment Operate worldwide on land, at sea, and underwater from EOD Mobile Units and detachments; insert via parachute, helicopter, and small boats; work from ships, shore commands, and forward locations; serve in small team based units that balance training, readiness, and operational tasking with limited administrative overhead compared to field work.

Pathways, Training & Advancement Recruit Training followed by an EOD preparatory course at Great Lakes, Illinois, that builds swimming, conditioning, small boat skills, and risk management fundamentals; EOD Assessment and Selection Course that evaluates aquatic adaptability, running, swimming, academics, professionalism, and teamwork; Navy diver training at the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center; Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal, which covers demolition, conventional ordnance, underwater mines, missiles, landmines, and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats; Basic Parachute Training and ongoing advanced training and qualifications throughout a career.

Apply for the Navy Warrior Challenge contract for EOD during initial enlistment, then pass the EOD Physical Screening Test and diver medical screening; complete required assessments and receive recommendation and screening from an EOD officer or senior enlisted EOD technician; additional in service accession requirements may include minimum time on board, performance standards, and command endorsement.
