Overview
This opportunity is with a fast-moving organization in the renewable energy / electromechanical manufacturing space that is expanding its production capabilities. Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Controls to help scale manufacturing, improve quality and reliability, and ensure new products move smoothly from development into full production. The role works closely with both Operations and Product Development and includes a blend of factory-based engineering and field support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and accelerate the transition from pilot builds to consistent production.
- Partner closely with Operations and Product Development to strengthen manufacturability and throughput.
- Create, refine, and maintain work instructions, build guides, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities in materials and labor, and lead implementation efforts.
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives across production and deployed systems.
- Test electrical equipment performance using system diagrams and test parameters supplied by engineers.
- Design and prototype internal test equipment using block diagrams, circuit schematics, and test boards (e.g., breadboards).
- Conduct firmware and electrical validation based on requirements from electrical and software engineering teams.
- Travel to solar tracker sites to troubleshoot, commission, retrofit, and provide technical support.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience with comparable products.
- Strong knowledge of electronic product assembly processes and best practices.
- Demonstrated project management or project leadership experience.

The Senior Design Engineer is a team member of the EG Design group and is responsible for the process design of industrial gas, specialty gas and chemical systems for Air Liquide customers in the Electronics industry. This position is responsible for design development and project technical support starting at the conceptual phase through project execution and has mastered the skills needed to apply RAGAGEP (Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices), national codes and internal IMS standards to the project design. This position is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more fields of expertise and contributes at a local or international entity level.
Responsibilities
- Develop process design which complies with recognized codes, internal and external standards and good engineering practices
- Develop scope of work for disciplines outside ALEUS area of expertise
- Coordinate design deliverables from 3rd party engineering firms
- Evaluate client's proposal request to identify project objectives and technical requirements; prepare design basis and design milestone schedule
- Assist estimating and implementation staff by soliciting bids, performing technical bid analysis, developing bill of materials, and specifying components

- Create reports to analyze data of events to determine return on investment.
- Create and update department documents and presentations for each event.
- Work cross-functionally with department leaders and teams routinely to ensure they are informed of event project status.
- Participate in on-going training and development of company goals and direction to communicate with attendees.
- Responsible for maintaining company branded inventory for events and placing orders when needed.
- Travel about 60-70% annually for events and other company functions to assist in production of events and supervise vendor related logistics.
- Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional time management skills, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate to Senior Level Leaders within our organization as well as within our client organizations.
- Demonstrates a sound working knowledge of current role and the technical systems, applications and equipment used in performing this role and understands the impact this role has on other business functions within the organization.
- Must be able to use time efficiently by prioritizing and planning work activities and events.
- Ability to make independent and sound decisions in all situations with limited supervision.
- Sets high standards and measures of excellence to ensure quality assurance in every aspect of work performed.
- Ability to demonstrate a series of activities designed to enhance the level of customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate effectiveness and flexibility with changing environments, responsibilities, tasks, and people.
- Identifies and resolves issues timely and ability to act quickly to fix issues. Escalates potential issues/concerns to senior leadership as appropriate.
- Must be comfortable working with basic audio-visual equipment to include routine inspection, inventory control, and troubleshooting when needed.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and work in multiple software platforms and
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with Zoom Meetings, Survicate, HubSpot, and Slido is preferred but not required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Walk and stand for extended periods of time especially at events
- Able to bend, twist, and reach especially during events
- Must be open to frequent travel and work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
- Hybrid work environment but candidate must be located in the Austin, TX area.
