Impact

As an Operations Support Specialist 3, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the successful execution of construction activities and operational deliverables within a Hazard Category 2, Security Classification 2 radiological facility. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide oversight of overarching mission deliverables for construction activities and operations, ensuring quality, accuracy, efficiency, and successful completion.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15 or more years of experience in the construction field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting the DOE mission.
  • Professional and safety certifications relevant to construction within the DOE and nuclear complex.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting construction activities in regulated environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
  • US Citizenship required.

Desired Skills

  • Prior DOE experience supporting construction projects.

Role Summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking a Construction Engineer with strong experience in capital projects, mechanical systems, field engineering, and construction execution within regulated or industrial environments. Apprehending, physically restraining, or working with law enforcement officials to identify or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws.

Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., warrants, subpoenas, etc.), and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system.

If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level.
