Position Purpose:
Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the countrys food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company building lasting relationships with our customers!
The CDL-A Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed. Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
  • Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Immediately reports all safety hazards. Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
  • Performs count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded. Checks and completes in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight.
  • Moves tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
  • Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule. Unloads products from the trailer, transports items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy. Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures. Collects money (cash or checks) where required.
  • Loads customer returns on to trailer and secures trailer doors. Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured.
  • Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork. Unloads all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
  • Completes daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
1+ years commercial driving experience
Valid CDL-A Must be 21+ years of age
Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
Pass road test
Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location

Overview:
The Quality Control Inspector/Programmer is responsible for visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies. We are seeking a Waste Collection CDL Driver who will be working out of our Jersey City Depot (264 Broadway, Jersey City, NJ 07306) servicing NYC Routes and reporting to the Site Manager but is also subject to supervision by Route Supervisors and Dispatchers. This is a full time, Union, non-exempt, hourly position with an overnight schedule starting anywhere between 7pm and 9pm but may vary depending on business needs. Shifts may vary from 10 to 12 hours per evening or until the route is complete. This Depot will be servicing our NYC routes.

Working alongside a Helper, our Waste Collection CDL Drivers main responsibility is to safely operate a rear-loading truck, for the pick-up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material. Drivers transport the material to a disposal, transfer or recycle facility, and may make one or more trips throughout the shift.

Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.:
  • The driver is responsible for safely operating the truck in compliance with IWSs safety standards as well as OSHA and DOT regulations, and local traffic laws.
  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using utilizing standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report); notes all issues on DVIR form for corrective review/repair.
  • Ensuring that the container and its content are always secure. This includes periodically checking tarps and ties, and may require the driver to climb onto containers and/or reach overhead.
  • Perform pre- and post-route inspections of assigned truck and document any safety issues on standard reports.
  • Continuously monitor for safety and service-related issues, as well as containers of other equipment in need of repair, and report any issues to the Route Supervisor or Dispatch.
  • All IWS employees are expected to be responsible and accountable for the safety for themselves, their colleagues, the trucks, and other equipment and property. Drivers must immediately notify Route Supervisor or Dispatch of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and Dispatchers at all times. This includes receiving complaints about schedules and quality of service. Our Drivers must make note of and report on any such complaints and respond in a courteous and respectful manner.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Healthcare Development, with a dotted line reporting to the Chief Hospital Executive (CHE), the Director, Development functions as the lead development officer for the general and active management of the affairs of the hospital foundation. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with the CHE to ensure the development and execution of approved fundraising plans and a comprehensive, integrated fundraising program, as well as monitoring of financial assets and fund allocation, in consultation with the hospital foundation Board and HMH Foundation Operations. The Director provides leadership to the board to motivate and execute a comprehensive, compelling and successful fundraising plan.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Director, Development at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • In collaboration with the CHE and Senior Vice President of Healthcare Development, manage the affairs of the hospital foundation, including but not limited to: Developing, executing and monitoring a comprehensive development program; setting and achieving goals; legal, financial and general management; Board management and trustee recruitment.
  • Responsible for setting realistic, challenging goals and directing major gift activity aimed at meeting those goals within budget.
  • Develop and maintain senior level communication with CHE, Board of Trustees and Senior Vice President of Healthcare Development to align priorities, goals and strategies in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive development program for the hospital. Maintain high visibility with and participate in management groups and maintain a regular physical presence at the medical center. Ensure that fund raising strategies are consistent with hospital and network goals and work closely with leaders on collaborative projects.
  • Manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects. Create and execute cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies for donors and prospects. Work closely with affiliated foundations to ensure appropriate solicitation and minimal duplication in crossover catchment areas.
  • Provide leadership and support to the hospital foundation Board of Trustees. Recruit and orient new trustees, prepare annual budgets and plans, report regularly to board on progress against goals, motivate Board effectiveness and ensure the effective involvement of trustees with all hospital foundation activities. Effectively articulate strategy to the board, motivate trustees and direct board activities necessary to achieve results.
  • Oversee the coordination of activities with planned giving, annual fund, grants and strategic events departments for the successful implementation of related programs and achievement of goals in these areas.
  • Recruit hosts for and coordinate appropriate cultivation gatherings of prospects at various educational, social and hospitality events.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of the hospital's leadership team to ensure that the hospital's philanthropy objectives are met through developing important relationships with physicians, nurses and staff to promote a culture of philanthropy and grateful patient prospect pipeline.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and help to engage grateful patients in fundraising for the hospital. Must maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Act as a liaison between program members, the Foundation, and clinicians and administrators, navigating the health care system on behalf of Foundation Signature Services program members, nurturing donor relationships, and providing continuity of a consistently high level of service. Express genuine compassion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • If applicable, participate in auxiliary meetings and events to help achieve compliance and to provide funding information, as well as secure auxiliary funding.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Ten or more years of professional experience in the development field.
  • Demonstrated success with major gifts and campaigns.

  • Highly functional with Google and People Soft software platforms.

We are seeking a Waste Collection Roll Off Driver who will be working out of our Jersey City Depot (264 Broadway, Jersey City, NJ 07306) servicing NYC Routes and reporting to the Site Manager but is also subject to supervision by Route Supervisors and Dispatchers. This is a full time, Union, non-exempt, hourly position with an overnight schedule starting anywhere between 7pm and 9pm, Sunday evening through Friday evening but may vary depending on business needs. Shifts may vary from 10 to 12 hours per evening or until the route is complete.

Our Waste Collection Roll-Off Drivers main responsibility is to safely operate a Roll-Off Truck, for the pick-up service of containers filled with waste or recyclable material. Drivers transport the material to a disposal, transfer or recycle facility, and may make one or more trips throughout the shift. A minumum of 1 year of experience driving and operating a Roll Off Truck is required.

Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.:
  • Continuously monitor for safety and service-related issues, as well as containers or other equipment in need of repair, and report any issues to the Route Supervisor or Dispatch.
  • All employees are expected to be responsible and accountable for the safety for themselves, their colleagues, the trucks, and other equipment and property. Drivers must immediately notify Route Supervisor or Dispatch of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage.
  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using utilizing standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report); notes all issues on DVIR form for corrective review/repair.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and Dispatchers at all times. This includes receiving complaints about schedules and quality of service. Our Drivers must make note of and report on any such complaints and respond in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Notifies Dispatch or Route Manager of issues as prescribed by Service Machine protocol, including blocked containers, potential missed pick-ups or problems that arise on the route.
  • Communicates customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
  • Completely dumps all containers and leaves the customers location clean and free of debris.
  • Completes and submits customer tickets when excess yardage must be removed.
  • Positions containers on the customers property in a manner that ensures lids are properly replaced, containers are set in an upright position, and containers do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
  • Work closely with Route Supervisor to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
