Perform duties in alignment with requirements set forth by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and Environmental Protection Agency to protect public health and the environment by ensuring the integrity of the City's wastewater and storm water systems. Responds to complaints regarding illicit discharges, plugged sewers, flooding and odors. Assesses and evaluates situation, explains findings to leadworker or supervisor. Contacts business owners and residents in area where services may be interrupted and explains when repairs will be completed.

Maintains stormwater detention facilities, water quality ponds, and urban streams. Performs inspections, riparian area maintenance, vegetation and debris removal, channel management and bank stabilization.

Uses computerized television inspection equipment to analyze and rate facilities for consideration of needed future maintenance.

Incumbents may be assigned primary responsibility for the Vector Control Program. Responds to customer concerns and baits for rats in the sanitary sewer system, and addresses trapping needs for nutria, opossum, and other mammals in the surface water piping system and urban stream areas of Corvallis.

The Softball Site Leader/Scorekeeper plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the adult softball program at designated fields in Corvallis and Albany. Responsible for overseeing various aspects of the games, including scorekeeping, field supervision, and ensuring the safety of participants and facilities. Key responsibilities include setting up for games, keeping official score and operate electric scoreboards during games and handle player or field-related situations. Youth Recreation Corps members assist Recreation Leaders with day camps and special events. Work with children ages 4-13 to support Day Camp Leaders. Support the Day Camp Program Assistant in hosting three special events throughout the summer. These tasks are illustrative only and may include other related duties.

The Youth Recreation Corps is designed as a "Day Camp Leader in-training" entry level opportunity to gain experience to return as a Day Camp Leader in future summers. Position is six weeks minimum, 20 hours/week, shifts are generally 10am-2pm but may include some morning or late afternoon shifts.

Assists Summer Day Camp Leaders with activities and special events including Penny Carnival, Family Fun Night and Art in the Park.

Assists with event set up and clean up and running activities during event

Works with children and youth in day camp setting.

Refers participant complaints and conflicts to Recreation Leader.

Conforms with all safety rules and performs work is a safe manner.

Adheres to all City and Department policies.

Delivers excellent customer service to diverse audiences.

Education and Experience

Current enrollment in High School or equivalent certificate program and will be a sophomore or junior when work assignment begins. Ability to provide proof of enrollment.

Perform routine public contact, safety work, and teaching swimming lessons, special event support in an indoor and outdoor pool and classroom environment. These tasks are illustrative only and may include other related duties.

Teaches swimming lessons in the water to all ages according to a prescribed routine and curriculum. Creates and implements lesson plans.

Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties such as but not limited to, setting up equipment, putting away equipment, minor maintenance and cleaning, and helping set up and support classes and events.

Responds to public inquiries about aquatics programs and special events, participating in guardian / teacher conferences, safety day, and final day celebration.

Supports Head Instructor with program participant testing, participant swimming skills placement, and maintenance records and statistics for aquatics programs.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about housing stability, enjoys working with diverse populations, and is comfortable assisting with leasing, compliance, and resident services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Community Manager with day-to-day property operations
• Assist with leasing activities, including application review, tours, move-ins, and move-outs
• Maintain resident files and ensure accuracy with affordable housing compliance documentation (LIHTC/HUD experience a plus)

Qualifications:
