- Shift Length: 10-hour days (8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts may be available)
- Primary Schedule: Days, commonly 06:30–17:00
- Additional Schedule Options: 06:30–15:00; 06:30–17:00; 06:30–19:00
- Call (Optional): Beeper call and occasional overnights may be available for interested providers
- Patient Population: Ages 12+ (adolescents, adults, geriatrics)
- EMR: Epic
- Orientation: 3 orientation shifts required (begins the second Monday of each month)
- Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90–120 days
- Openings: 9
CRNA Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of CRNA experience in general anesthesia
- Licensure: Active Minnesota RN license and Minnesota CRNA/APRN authorization (Minnesota is not a compact state)
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS (multisource accepted per site policy)
- EMR Experience: Epic experience required
- Submission Requirement: Skills checklist required at time of submission
- Screening: Fingerprinting required; results must be posted prior to privileges being granted
- Scheduling Expectation: Two consecutive weeks per month for the first three months (every-other-week scheduling may be considered after three months)
- Eligibility: Must live 50+ miles from the facility to be considered
Key Responsibilities (Anesthesia Provider)
- Provide safe, evidence-based anesthesia care as a CRNA within a supervised care-team model (4:1) in a tertiary hospital environment
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments, develop anesthesia plans, and manage intraoperative anesthetics for patients ages 12+
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative teams to support patient safety and quality outcomes
- Document anesthesia care accurately and thoroughly in Epic EMR
- Support specialized cases as assigned based on department needs
- Work effectively with strong ancillary support, including a 24-hour anesthesia aide department
- Scope Note: CRNAs do not perform blocks, arterial lines, epidurals, or spinals in this practice setting

Qualifications for Cardiothoracic Surgeon Jobs

- Ability to participate in a 1:3 call rotation

- Cardiac valve repair and replacement
- TAVR/Structural heart procedures
- Aortic aneurysm and dissection repairs
- Minimally invasive and robotic heart surgery
- LVAD surgery, pacemaker implantation, thoracoscopic surgery
- Carotid endarterectomy, congenital heart surgery, esophageal surgery
- Lead extractions and standbys
- Participate in a rotating call schedule, including overnight and weekend coverage
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
