We are the busiest community emergency department in San Diego County seeing more than 110,000 patients a year treating a diverse population. We have also been designated by the county as a STEMI center, due to implementation of new cardiac protocols meeting county and national guidelines for treating acute MI patients. Additionally, we have achieved stroke center status due to our focus on providing expeditious diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients. We have a helipad that receives patients with medical emergencies, such as snake bites, heat stroke, and heart attacks, from our rural areas. Currently, we run 43 acute care beds 24 hours a day, plus 21 minor care and observation beds that are open during high volume hours. Sharp Grossmont has invested heavily in innovative, cutting-edge medical care. This includes one of the most technologically advanced emergency rooms in the nation.

The Mechanical Dimensional Management (DM) Engineer is part of the Producibility Team within Agile Hardware Solutions. The DM Engineer collaborates directly with Mechanical Engineering, Materials & Processes and Design & Drafting from the Mechanical Products Team along with Operations, Quality and Supply Chain peers, and suppliers to implement mechanical producibility improvements on new and emerging programs, and upgrades to existing programs.

The team executes tolerance optimization through primarily 3D tolerance and variation analysis and works with the design team to influence the final design. Early engagement in the conceptual stage and throughout the development process will ensure that our designs are optimized with respect to tolerance controls and methods of manufacture. The DM engineer plays an essential part in reducing product cost and ensuring functional quality.

What You Will Do

As a member of the Dimensional Management and Producibility Team, you may support the team in the following ways:

  • Perform detailed 3D complex dimensional tolerance analyses and review 1D tolerance analyses using various tools to evaluate design requirements of new and existing designs to calculate design margin / capability, and provide recommendations while adhering to cost, schedule, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Work with product teams to develop coordinated datum flow and document via drawings including interface control drawings (ICDs).
  • Apply, encode and decode Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) on various technical data packages.
  • Contribute to the development and training of the practical application of GD&T, tolerance analysis methods, and tools.
  • Where applicable become recognized as the Dimensional Management Lead on a program to coordinate various aspects of the Dimensional Management Closed Loop Process while supporting Critical Item Initiatives.
  • Function as a self-starter while exercising considerable latitude in determining the strategic objectives and methods of achieving Dimensional Management goals.

What We are Looking For:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and competent Physician Assistant to join our tight-knit company. The Physician Assistant will provide medical care to our patients, and will work in collaboration with Doctor. The Physician Assistant will perform comprehensive medical assessments, order appropriate tests/procedures for diagnostic purposes, formulate treatment plans, and do appropriate documentation as required. Our office is dedicated to providing exceptional Internal Medicine care to a diverse range of patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work cohesively with the physician while functioning autonomously in daily care of patients
  • Coordination of care with the medical doctors, medical assistants, and administrative staff for comprehensive patient care.
  • Room and record patients' medical information and vital signs if medical assistants are unavailable.
  • Prescribe medical devices, or other forms of treatments.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of interventions and makes adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
  • Monitor, respond, and assign incoming patient messages via electronic health record system.
  • Contact patients via phone, messaging, and/or mail to inform them of medical results.
  • Complies with hospital and medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA and Joint Commission.
  • Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

  • California Physician Assistant License
  • Thorough understanding of contemporary medical practices
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other medical software
  • Ph Ability to assess and discern medical conditions and concerns, then respond with appropriate action.
  • Diagnosing through sound, sight, and touch
  • Operate technology such as computers, printers, and fax
  • Appropriate bedside manner
  • Small procedures such as biopsies
  • Writing chart notes

Responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings, RFOs, declarations, and memoranda
  • Prepare discovery (form, special, RFPs)
  • Draft meet and confer letters
  • Appear at hearings (remote and in-person)
  • Prepare clients for mediation and court
  • Conduct legal research
  • Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
  • Assist with trial preparation
  • Maintain accurate time entries and meet billable expectations

Ideal Candidate

  • 0–3 years of experience (family law preferred but not required)
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Strong legal writing skills
  • Comfortable appearing in court
  • Organized and deadline-driven
  • Emotionally steady in high-conflict situations
  • Open to mentorship and constructive feedback
  • Genuinely interested in family law
