Job Overview 

The Production Intern will support the Production & Sourcing team during our peak production season. This is a hands-on role providing exposure to global apparel manufacturing, vendor management, and supply chain operations at a fast-growing sportswear brand. The ideal candidate will gain practical experience in production coordination, quality assurance, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to critical production deadlines. 

 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist Production team with purchase order tracking, WIP updates, and production status reporting. 
  • Communicate daily with internal and external partners regarding sample development, production timelines, and delivery information. 
  • Support real-time coordination of strike-off and samples, requiring detailed documentation. 
  • Coordinate proto and fit sample arrivals, ensuring accurate documenting.  
  • Assist with incoming and outgoing parcels and check in production samples as they are delivered 
  • Help with sample measuring.  
  • Help organize and maintain the production fit area and sample closet. 
  • Maintain and organize costing records and style information documentation when needed. 
  • Support HTS code assignments and compliance documentation for customs and country of origin requirements.  
  • Assist with creating and formatting Excel charts, linesheets, and production reports.  
  • Assist Studio Manager and Production Coordinator in arranging shipments to factories 
  • Prepare and communicate agendas for cross-functional team meetings and attend as needed.

Who You Are 

  • Undergraduate Junior or Senior or graduate with a degree in: Fashion Design, Management, Production, or Technical Design. 
  • Available Monday – Thursday 9-5.  
  • Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities and ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Proactive and self-motivated with ability to work independently and take initiative 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with international partners across time zones

We are seeking a Waste Collection CDL Driver who will be working out of our Brooklyn Depot (1427 Ralph Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11236) and reporting to the Site Manager but is also subject to supervision by Route Supervisors and Dispatchers. This is a full time, Union, non-exempt, hourly position with an overnight schedule starting anywhere between 7pm and 9pm but may vary depending on business needs. Working alongside a Helper, our Waste Collection CDL Drivers main responsibility is to safely operate a rear-loading truck, for the pick-up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material. Drivers transport the material to a disposal, transfer or recycle facility, and may make one or more trips throughout the shift.

Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.:
  • The driver is responsible for safely operating the truck in compliance with IWSs safety standards as well as OSHA and DOT regulations, and local traffic laws.
  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using utilizing standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report); notes all issues on DVIR form for corrective review/repair.
  • Ensuring that the container and its content are always secure. This includes periodically checking tarps and ties, and may require the driver to climb onto containers and/or reach overhead.
  • Perform pre- and post-route inspections of assigned truck and document any safety issues on standard reports.
  • Continuously monitor for safety and service-related issues, as well as containers of other equipment in need of repair, and report any issues to the Route Supervisor or Dispatch.
  • All IWS employees are expected to be responsible and accountable for the safety for themselves, their colleagues, the trucks, and other equipment and property. Drivers must immediately notify Route Supervisor or Dispatch of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and Dispatchers at all times. This includes receiving complaints about schedules and quality of service. Our Drivers must make note of and report on any such complaints and respond in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Attend all required training, operational meetings, and mandatory monthly Safety Meetings

Dir. Of Operations Planning And Analysis

The Dir. Of Operations Planning And Analysis is responsible for the Business Planning, Financial Analysis and Payment Approval for the Distribution Center network at the Steve Madden company. This position supports the Retail Distribution business. The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our LIC office and requires working on-site five days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting for company Distribution Centers
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators including spending and volume variances such as plan vs actual spend
  • Produce weekly and monthly reporting using SM suite of reporting tools, systems and MS office applications
  • Meet with external and internal business partners to obtain information required to develop a business plan and budget
  • Audit and approve distribution center related bills which are submitted by our 3rd party distribution partners and local finance teams
  • Provide key insights and estimated financial impacts of agreements, service contracts and various operational projects or process improvements
  • Periodically review and update existing policies and practices, making improvements as needed to the organizations and departments processes
  • Effectively communicate and present financial information to senior leadership and operations team
  • Work with leadership to ensure Distribution Centers have appropriate information to plan and operate in an effective and efficient manner
  • Track key metrics and KPIs to evaluate program performance and support data-driven decision-making
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Specific Job Skills:

Essential duties include

  • Auditing and approving Distribution Center related expenses while suggesting and implementing process improvements to improve the process
  • Interface with brand management, various supply chain functions and 3rd party distribution center management

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Business Planning, Financial Analysis supporting operations within the supply chain
  • Comprehensive knowledge in operational/financial metrics and the audit and bill payment process
  • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience presenting and communicating operational variances on a monthly weekly basis to operational and senior leadership
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $115,000-$125,000. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure. Senior Customer Service Representative

Licensing seeks a Senior Customer Service Representative to join the Intake team, with strong customer service, communications, and organizational skills. The prospective candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Review and process DCWP license applications and all relevant documentation
  • Perform clerical work including complex data processing functions, recording, researching, checking and maintaining records and furnishing information to licensing applicants
  • Check records for accuracy of information and for conformity with established policy and procedures
  • Monitor and provide coaching to other staff
  • Perform ordinary mathematical computations while accepting and processing payments, completing close outs, and other tasks as assigned
  • Provide high-volume customer service to licensing applicants in person and via phone
  • Assist applicants with outreach to other city agencies, as well as interagency communication to help resolve issues pertaining to their license
  • Answer telephone calls, emails and written correspondence and communicate applicant information
  • Attend seminars, meetings and/or trainings
  • Follow all division and agency policies and procedures
  • Perform all relevant and related Licensing tasks as assigned when needed
Minimum Qualifications

Qualification requirements: A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience. Skills requirement: Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
