Clinical Category Manager

Option 1 Staffing is currently recruiting for a Clinical Category Manager with a TOP 10 hospital in the nation. As the Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving category-specific contract coverage and compliance, managing a portfolio of contracts covering medical supplies, non-medical supplies, and purchasing services with a focus on “best value” and Total Cost of Ownership.
Candidates MUST reside in Northern California or be open to relocating to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure policies are followed across the organization through education to hospital departments and coordination with Finance, Compliance, Office of General Counsel, and Risk Management.
- Provide input to directors of sourcing and suggest/implement changes and enhancements as needed.
- Analyze current practices (financial, contractual, and operational data sources), standardize, improve, document, and support the organization’s Category Management processes throughout the lifecycle of initiatives.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts for products, product groups, and services in collaboration with operational business leaders.
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and other supplier representatives.
- Monitor and evaluate contract volume, supply chain information system performance, purchasing volume and flow, and value-based selection reporting and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Nursing Degree HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Deep understanding of different surgical procedures, equipment requirements, and specific supplies needed
- Minimum 3 years experience in healthcare Sourcing, Value Analysis, Procurement, or category management in a clinical setting

The Advanced Airborne RF Sensors department within the Space and Airborne Systems Engineering and Test Capability (SE&TC) Center is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in North Texas. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the integration, testing, and verification of advanced hardware and software systems. Perform calibration and operation of phased array antennas within a laboratory test‑range environment.
Support testing, validation, and integration activities for phased array antenna systems, RF sensor, and EW systems.
Conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis to evaluate ES/EA system performance and inform design decisions.
Create and execute test plans and procedures, evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in preparation for final system sell-off to the customer.
Support production, system deployment, and post-deployment activities, ensuring product performance and reliability.
Collaborate across hardware and software disciplines to identify and implement solutions to complex system challenges.
Engage in Digital Transformation (DTx) efforts, leveraging methods and enabling technologies such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development practices.
Work alongside teams of engineers to support integration and testing efforts, ensuring seamless functionality of system components.
Utilize laboratory equipment, including power supplies, oscilloscopes, and digital voltmeters.
Test event support activity may require travel which is not expected to exceed 20%.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of EW/Radar systems design and requirements engineering experience.
Modeling and simulation for Electronic Warfare (EW) or radar systems.
Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML specifically), digital thread concepts, digital engineering, MBSE with DevSecOps).
Matlab/Simulink, DOORS, DNG, Cameo, Jira, and Confluence.

This is a Program direct-support position and requires a technical understanding of piece part electronic components and their assembly level applications. This candidate will transition into a key leadership position in the supporting program Obsolescence Integrated Product Team and will drive issue resolution for situations involving obsolescence.
The selected candidate will perform and/or assist in the performance of Parts Engineering, Components Engineering or Applications Engineering tasks supporting programs in the Proposal, System Design Description, Low Rate Initial Production, Production and Support phases. Position will require day to day interface with Designers, Contracts, Estimating, Supply Chain, Program Management, and other disciplines.
This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do:
- Understand and/or generate a program statement of work (SOW) and other defined customer component application requirements.
- Develop and/or sustain a proactive Obsolescence Management process to deliver cost saving obsolescence mitigation strategies and solutions.
- Drive resolution through support or execution of lifetime buys, selections of alternate parts, redesign efforts or other mitigation strategies and will facilitate and support contract negotiations, basis of estimates, and supplier statements of work for proposal efforts.
- Interact with Program and customer leadership on a regular basis to communicate status of mitigation strategies.
- Conduct trade study analysis help identify cost effective obsolescence driven cut in points for proposed unit redesigns.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience with any combination of the following:
- Experience with proactive and reactive component obsolescence management methodologies.
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and presentation skills to adequately discuss system impact of component obsolescence issues.
- Experience with project management working with schedules, costs, and integration of stakeholder needs throughout the obsolescence process.
- Financial and Contract Management experience with proposals, BOE, EVMs, SOWs, CLINs and CDRLs.
- Experience with BOM (Bill of Material) development and management for developmental and production programs.
- Risk and Opportunity business case analysis experience supporting sustainment vs redesign cut in decisions.
Qualifications We Prefer:

- Ability to navigate multiple complex processes and tools.
