Cares for patients under the direction of the Clinic Manager, Advanced Practitioners, Regional Medical Director, and in compliance with MedWise's philosophy as well as standards of practice and regulations of government agencies, while creating and maintaining a positive patient experience.

Provides healthcare in collaboration with medical care team. Appropriately addresses patient requests for accommodations to facilitate accessible and inclusive care. Prepares patient for and assist with examinations in a manner which promotes the delivery of high-quality patient-focused health care services. Perform required vitals, collect patient complaints, medication information, and other encounter specific EMR details. Interview patients to obtain history, including but not limited to medical, surgical, family, and social history. Required education/license/certification: High school graduate / GED / vocational training equivalency. Current American Heart Association BLS certification OR must obtain within the specified timeframe per MedWise policy. Valid state/government issued identification. Medical Assistant education in progress or certification OR May be substituted for 6 months with direct patient care in a clinical setting in emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care, or an ambulatory care setting as a Medical Assistant, certified Emergency Medical Technician, or Paramedic.
